Stillness of a Memory

The Cirill O is a band created by brothers Anthony and Richard Cirillo, and are a band based out of the Philadelphia region. The brothers are the sons of an extraordinaire Saxaphone player who grew up with music being the center piece thru their formative years. The brothers learned their musical craft playing and recording original music in multiple bands from the 90's forward, all the while planning to start a project of their own recording their own music. In 2017 Anthony started the process of writing and crafting his own style of music, one that seems to invoke a unique tapestry of melodies and nuances that weave in and out, creating a emotional journery, the music appears to touch on and blend styles reflecting it's unique feel and sound. Anthony's lyrics can only be described as stories that are felt and relatable, as represented by the song “Just Around The Corner” a heart felt song written as a tribute to the Brothers father who passed away in 2014. The Brothers felt to bring their music to life they had to select and rely on other hand picked musicians who would bring a level of musical expertise that would somehow put their own mark and signature on each song but allow the space necessary with respect to the integrity of the songs. It was first decided to add guitarist Don (Donte') Ortiz who was selected for his style of playing that is considered unlike any other guitarist. His latin/jazz/rock fused style is guided by tasteful elements inserted into each song. Donte' has traveled the world as a working musician and brings a developed sound that it truly unique. On bass guitar it was a easy choice to add Paul Slivka, Paul also has played the world and his fretless bass sound is unmistakable in the Cirillo Brothers music. The Cirillo Brothers always knew that their sound would include the Saxaphone, Hayden Wright was selected due to his soulful sound. Due to the complexity of the music it was decided to add a second keyboard player, the big man Samik Jones was added with respect to his gospel style. One last element had to be added, and that was Allison Hilley who would handle the female backing vocals. Allisons vocal sound is considered unmatched with respect to her range, tone, and clarity. All Cirill O music is produced by Michael Terry who is a five time Emmy Award winning producer.
