My third entry into the 16th Sample Pack Contest, a contest in which each participant submits a sample and then makes songs using everyone's sounds.

This track ranked 18th out of 84 entries. As I threw together the second half at the last minute and ended with a lazy loop + fadeout, I'm happy with this!

Hyperjaunt

This is a cover from an old song that (possibly) originated from Åland in a finnish-swedish countryside from the 1700's. It has since then been interpreted into what it is today, a song about sailors parting from their loved ones. This was sung here in Sweden in schools growing up. This is my version, were I made up some harmonies to go with it.

-Melody is apparenty from an english folk song called  "Monday Morning", which is based a lot on "Scarborough Fair" from the 1500's and the scottish folk song called "The Elfin Knight".
