We've sang and written some of the best...
In the 90s anyone who watched too much Saturday morning tv will remember Swing Your Pants - or Trevor and Simon.
Mulligan and O'Hare by Reeves and Mortimer come to mind also.
Who can ever forget such greats as "My Rose has left me..." 
Timeless class....

Boris is much more charming to deal with.
Also my family has close and direct connections to the NHS
If there are those who do not believe me to be taking the current crisis seriously.
Most families do have some connection to the NHS. It is the countries biggest employer.
Lets hope Boris doesn't do to the NHS what Maggie did to the miners.....sad<3


Edit: 

It's easy for me to forget that I can be quite cryptic - The reference with Canary wharf and the Coal Mining industry relates to Maggie's famous quote about there being no such thing as "society". She really wasn't kidding. Her monument to the future - Canary Wharf was her pet project to redevelop the old East End docks into a New New York.... She was prepared to suffocate and smother the 18th and 19th centaury's monument to progress, the coal mining industry. She didn't give a second thought to the families and communities she was willing to sacrifice in the pursuit of her goal. Interestingly Canary Wharf was not a success. It took a very long time for the empty office spaces built there to be filled. It is full now and new buildings have been added. Does it have a society? Can you call corporations, banks, multinationals and hedge funds a community? 

The biggest oxymoron compassionate conservativism.... They never conserve or preserve anything from what I've experience during my lifetime.. Wanton vandals who wave union jacks and sing land of hope and glory at the last night of the proms...

1985 Miner's Strike - Canary Wharf

I have never barn danced... I'd love to.

Whenever we had bad weather for PE at school and bad weather had to be pretty bad for the PE staff not to want to let us wild things run around outside, they either did a huge cross country run or we had Scottish Country dancing... 

Everyone moaned...I loved it. Here was an opportunity to dance with some of the hottest talent in the school, who would normally shun any reason to be associated with you.

Despite the many protests after the music started and we all got going with the bouncy heel toe steps and all the spinning around I cannot think of anyone who wasn't smiling their socks off with a flushed red face filled with joy...

Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five pulled up a chair for a while to let all us kids doing something else for a short time.

Brilliant....

Bluegrass Loops - Newgrass

I will never forget the moment that I stared in amazement as a grey-haired middleaged man sped down the alley and then along the pavement driving a Sinclair C5. He appeared to glide. My two-wheeled BMX suddenly felt worthless. I watched him as he vanished into the distance.

I wondered how much I would be able to get if I traded in my BMX for a brand new C5. Tomorrow's World had devoted an entire episode to cover this new form of transport we would all soon be adopting. They had co-ordinated fleets of C5s which were filmed by cameramen looking down from above, they clung to the flat roof of the tv studio. Everyone was broadly smiling.

I never saw another C5 again. It was like seeing a unicorn. A rare and special thing. I began to be consumed with the fear that tomorrow may not be much better than today. That the future was slightly less well-rendered than I'd hoped.

The C5 was a failure. Sir Clive kept going. He never stopped. The chips inside many of today's smartphones can trace their ancestry back to the ZX Spectrum. The work Clive and his team did to shape the future went very well, just not how anyone had hoped...

They're worth a fortune on ebay now...
