Pretending to be okay so my parents don’t have to be at my funeral wondering what they did wrong

sometimes I get the urge to off myself and let go of all my worries, past trauma, responsibilities and hatred. quite a few months ago I held a knife up to my own neck to find out how It would feel, it felt weird, as if I were betraying myself and my own self image, I came to realize that if I were to off myself my mom and my whole family will feel as if they failed me so I decided to work on myself but I still get that urge from time to time.
