Ruler of the Void

Mathieu Urfer is a Swiss filmmaker and songwriter. Starting in the early 2000s as a guitarist and singer in the punk-indie rock band Chewy, he released albums under the iconic Fierce Panda Records. Later, with the duo Sigurd, he delved into minimal post-rock before transitioning to country-inspired love songs. In 2014, he earned acclaim with a Quartz Award for his original soundtrack for Pause. Currently, he’s part of Lausanne’s fabled Honey for Petzi while pursuing a solo folk music project, blending heartfelt storytelling with his rich musical evolution.
