Created in a caravan in the suburbs of North London in 1985, this song was arrested shortly after its initial release on the Medium Cool record label and sentences to 37 years in solitary confinement. Only now in 2023, after the song received a conditional parole, can the world appreciate its extraordinary-ness. Made by two young Englishmen, both of relatively sound mind, this song has been described by critics as "what?" and "what the feck?".

I was born in 1847. My mother was a woman, my father, a man. At the slender age of seven I invented the word tangerine. I kept my invention a secret for almost a hundred years. And then, in the dark days of post-war Britain, I set it free to bring colour, laughter, brightness and tang to a country on its knees. 

This will be my legacy. As long as young children crave the smooth, rounded sound of the word I gave to the world, I will be remembered.
