Y'all, I've been really struggling to put out any new music for the past few weeks. Basically, I started psyching myself out with anxiety, second-guessing everything, doing the ol' "nobody wants to hear your music" self-brainwashing, etc. Finally, I just said "F it" and wrote a song telling myself to stop worrying about everything and just make some music for the fun of making music. I mean, that's the whole reason I started posting music here in the first place, where nobody knows me and I do zero promo or monetization. Soundcloud, for me, is a place where I can just make the music I want to make, when I want to make it, with absolutely no other considerations like money, fame, what "the people" want to hear, what "the radio" might play, or how to avoid looking like an idiot who habitually overshares. 

Anyway, here's the song that came out of it. I hope you like  it. 

Aw, dang it! There's goes all the work I put into not caring what people think about my music! Oh well. Back to the self-help drawing board, I guess. But, really, I do hope you like it. I think it's a fun, catchy song with some fun, catchy styles jammed together that you don't normally hear mixed. And the hook is not only a fun double, it's actually a fun triple. I know I'm supposed to act cool, walk away from the explosion without looking back, etc., but, as a forever-fledgling songwriter, I'm actually pretty proud of myself when I land a juicy triple. I didn't use to be able to do that. 

And, y'know, sometimes you need to make room for patting yourself on the back a little. Artists don't always have to be tortured souls, right?

This track is the third single from my final pony album, "This Equestrian Moment", and had been in production for quite a long time! After a little over a year of production, this track feels like a culmination of everything I've dealt with over the past 12 months of my life. Throughout my private silence, my public outbursts, and my personal life, I've been cultivating my musical talents so that you all would hear nothing but the best I can make. It's truly a good feeling knowing that so many of you all continue to support me and my work as an artist, and I hope that I have successfully woven this into the lyrics I've written for this track, sung by the amazing Gabriel "Blackgryph0n" Brown. This song is about wanting to be the best and doing what it takes to get there, a sentiment echoed throughout humanity but sometimes simultaneously looked down upon as arrogance. I felt that Gabe was the perfect guy to work with for this because of his awesome talent and voice, as well as his experiences with similar ideals. All in all, I hope you all can feel the effort put into making this. Thank you for your continued support, and enjoy!
