Known regionally from such popular groups as BONKERS, MAS FiNA, BIG GAME and The AFFAIR, John’s current cover band OUT OF THE BLUE(Out of the Blue -music on Facebook), is a mix of Classic Rock and Country Covers. He is also currently recording an EP for his Duo project “Whithead/Mac slated for release Summer of ‘23.
John’s versatility both vocally and instrumentally have helped to established him as a well known Guitarist and artist in the Regional Mid-west. Over the course of his musical career he has toured internationally, appeared on MTV, and has received radio airplay across the mid-west and overseas. John is an endorsee for GHS Strings. From 2006 thru 2019, the Band Leader for Nashville Recording Artist "Rodney Parker & Liberty Beach" www.libertybeachband.com), He had also performed with Vintage Rock/Motown act "Randy  The Reefsharks" Formerly known for 30 years as "Bonkers") until 2015, and also performed with Acoustic country act "The Bourbon Cowboys" which along with The Liberty’s Beach Band disbanded in 2020. ‘23 marked the beginning of a new original Country Rock recording project “Whitehead/Mac” with his long time band mate on Bass & Vocals Danny Whitehead, his son Jonny on Drums and long time friend Gary Wagner on keyboards and Vocals. A 4 song CD/EP released the summer of ‘23 featuring 4 new songs including the song “All for The Show” featured in the video celebration of our local 24 Union Stage Hands. 
In ‘24 John joined forces with Spectra Music Group Artist JT Hayden for collaboration on his follow up album, and live performances.
John has also been a featured guitarist on two albums by the Canadian Rock Band “MASON” and is working on a song to be featured on their 3rd upcoming studio release.
