the chord on "darkness" is killer.  de-lish.  i have no idea how you conceive of lyrics like this but it is phenomenal.   you are a world class poet man.

The trail went 
More or less parallel 
With Green Bay Road 
From Lake Forest

Thirty miles  
North of downtown 
 
I used to ride 
My bicycle 
On this trail
