My remix for my close friend and ex SL2 member Kelly O who is currently on a HUGE European tour through this summer of 2024. When putting together her show Kelly wanted to pay homage to the rave era, the era that started an incredible journey in the music industry from way back in 1991.

Kelly says "Take me Away is the first track I remember completely possessing me. When putting together my show I wanted to celebrate an era that gave me so much and this was the starting point. I made a straight cover and sent it to Slipmatt, who I performed with in SL2 and he said he would love to do a version of this. Slipmatt's remix celebrates the authenticity of the era in a way that only a few can and bridges it to today perfectly. It is pure joy and crazy good to perform live". 

Kelly is performing all over Europe this year at large scale festivals and Take Me Away in definitely on the set list. It’s been such a pleasure working together again after all these years, and we have lots more in store… watch this space 👀

Always striving for the ultimate mix every other day I’ve listened to music and collected records and cds cassette tapes minidiscs for well over 4 decades I try tinkering around with different sounds from all sorts of sounds to hear what sounds best trailers records singles white labels remixes re-edits MP3s sampling a wide range of music and songs all from my mixstation pc digital DJ music station.
I started using tape to tape at first then moved onto vinyl to vinyl then cd to cd currently with digital technology laptops and pcs i use the Hercules glow equipment and virtual dj software these days.
