Indie/Indie-Folk Compilation - Summer 2021 ☀️ (alexrainbirdMusic)

April 30th, 2021 - Eugene, OR - On his 36th birthday and five months after the release of his debut album Brave the Storm, Oregon based producer and songwriter Tyler Fortier releases new single “Still Be Here” with accompanying lyric video. Featuring Lex Price (Neko Case, Peter Bradley Adams, Rodney Crowell) on bass, tenor guitar, and bouzouki, Philippe Bronchtein (The War & Treaty, Esme Patterson) on pedal steel, Peter Perdichizzi (The Flys, Beth Wood) on electric guitar, Jeramy Burchett (Nate Bosford) on drums, and Erin Flood Fortier singing harmonies. As with Brave the Storm, “Still Be Here” is released under the moniker Last Year’s Man with Fortier taking on the role of writer, producer, and mix engineer while also contributing acoustic guitar, ukulele, piano, and vocals to the track. Fortier wrote “Still Be Here” along with a handful of singles that will be released throughout 2021 and represented for sync by Complete Tracks, a boutique sync agency based in Vancouver, WA. 
“They initially reached out about representing the new album. We got to talking and I ended up writing some songs for them. I was trying to walk that line between burdened and hopeful. I think we’re all eager for life to get back to what it was in some way or another and this is a love song built out of the idea that it will.”

The Tame and the Wild songs are like polaroids: snippets of real life situations, moments or feelings, condensed to piece of music. This is the third of a four-song project called „We Lost More Than A Battle“.

Last Year’s Man is the pseudonym of Eugene, OR based producer and songwriter, Tyler Fortier. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Fortier’s music has been featured on networks like CBS, Netflix, Showtime and the BBC. He has contributed music to libraries like Warner Chappell, BMG, and Marmoset. As a producer, Fortier’s passion is working with up-and-coming artists, including Jeffrey Martin, Anna Tivel, Beth Wood, and Jeff Crosby. In total, Fortier has been involved with over 40 projects as producer, mix engineer, or session player — and usually, all of the above. Last Year’s Man debut album Brave the Storm is slated for a November 13th, 2020 release.
