I Miss It All

Three years ago, Zyon made the move from Catalonia to California, and landed in the City of Angels. Zyon, a native of Barcelona born Sonia Marin Sole, chose this moniker as it best relates to her musical identity: “I always thought that name would have an important role in my life,” muses Zyon. “Zyon refers to that safe place inside of you. You are safe when you find your own truth. I found my truth through a microphone and a keyboard.”

Drawn to the sound of rock n’ roll by listening to old vinyl records, Zyon was inspired by the greatest souls of jazz and blues, such as Ruth Brown and Julie London, performing covers at the Tinta Roja Café in Barcelona. Deciding to pursue her career as a professional musician, she relocated to Hollywood, California to study vocal performance at Musicians Institute.

“I work hard and I love my job. This is what I’m supposed to be doing!” declares Zyon with a laugh. The hard work is paying off as she has begun to play shows at Bar 20 and The Guitar Merchant in Los Angeles with guitarist Janvi Anand. These shows are allowing her to express her numerous influences, ranging from Nina Simone to James Brown. Her experience from singing in choirs in Spain served her well in defining a brand new style of her own.

After her first Single "Next To You" and music video released last May, the singer-songwriter has just released " I Miss It All" with a music video directed and co-produce it with Alessia Madau. Zyon Sole defines both work as “a guide to embrace our own truth through the rhythm of music.” She is sharing her journey, a journey inside her own being. Every rhythm, riff, and verse emphasizes a step meant to be dynamic and positive.
