Inner Space PT2 (DMF002) is the follow up release to the sell-out debut on Kerrie’s Dark Machine Funk imprint. In her signature DMF style, Inner Space PT 2 delivers 4 club ready, raw techno tracks with metallic textures, subtle tweaks and raspy percussion groove for mind, soul and body. Plant43 announces new EP, Remote Signals

Anyone who has had even half an eye on the electro scene over the past decade will already
be familiar with Emile Facey aka Plant43’s unique sound, mixing an uncompromising approach
to off-kilter rhythms and machine-led funk with an emotive and powerful use of melody. Remote
Signals features a trio of ultra fresh tracks, penned for recent live shows in The Hague (The Crave
Festival) and a coveted slot on the Globus stage at Tresor in Berlin, and are brimming with the
energy and excitement he felt on his return to the live circuit after the pandemic.

This EP, the ninth release on Facey’s Plant43 Recordings label, is led by a booming kick drum
heavy enough to move any audience, with Facey weaving ever more complex webs of melody
around it. ‘Searching The Skies’ builds a mysterious atmosphere based around a call and
response between characterful melodic elements while ‘Constantly Morphing Entity’ closes the
EP with a flourish of driving beats and an SH101 bassline designed to move the dancefloor.

“After more than two years away from playing live, hearing from The Crave Festival and Tresor
in early summer ’22 was like a light appearing at the end of the tunnel. I jumped at the chance
and began rapidly writing new material. There’s often a long gap between writing and releasing
new music and so I put Remote Signals right to the top of the Plant43 Recordings release
schedule to capture the spontaneity and excitement of the unforgettable experience of
performing my music to an audience again.” – Plant43

Based in the South of England, UK, Emile Facey is also a graphic designer and illustrator. He has been promoting underground electro and techno events since the late 90’s. As a producer he’s been releasing records since 2005 with a string of releases on respected scene favourites such as Central Processing Unit, Frustrated Funk, Semantica, Shipwrec, 20:20 Vision and Cultivated Electronics, among others. He has played live alongside DJ Stingray, ERP/Convextion, The Advent, Surgeon, Legowelt, DJ Overdose, Urban Tribe and Datassette among many others.

A huge source of inspiration to DMF since those highly sought after HFP 12”s hit the record store racks in 2014, Head Front Panel delivers a superb well rounded 4 track EP titled ‘Tactile’ for DMF’s 5th release.

The opening track 'Panama' opens with some otherworldly pads, sweeping resonances tickle the ear before signature HFP drums hit you with pure engaging energy. Broken kick drums and rattling percussion perfectly sit on this hypnotic tribal-esque sonic dream, a depth and area that we've not heard from HFP before. 'Tactile' brings the perfect tool, loopy rhythms that stretch the perception of time whilst getting lost in subtle rides and eerie door creaking atmospheres, deep listening will provide a new journey on every repeat. 'Surdo' open's side B, and we're catapulted into the fire with shaker/hi hat percussions that grab your attention immediately and vocal samples scatter across the stereo field. Shimmering pads take the track into deeper territory but all while keeping in a constant state of forward motion accented by the occasional double kick drum. A huge baseline swings the track to give it it's funk. 'Them' probably the most recognisable HFP track hammers with a thunderous...  more
