I like how the sounds emerge from the fizzing background.

Nice use of sound changes to the lead to bring it out ...

Perhaps a little more variation in the melodic lines? Nice relaxing track though. Well done.

This is really nice, I like the simplicity - reminds me not to always over work things! Lovely revealing of the lead, it's simple but effective!

The 2nd half could do with some unexpected change to create some drama to improve it. GL!

I actually quite like the restraint of it overall. Though I must admit I wasn't even looking at the waveform and was waiting for a big explosion of a beat. Then I slowly changed my mind as the track progressed and think it's great you just kept on going simply like this. Good job!

I like the bell melody - the filter variations give it at nice touch. Would have wished some kind of "surprise" moment or a bigger change up, but still good work :)

This is really clean, enjoyable to listen to. Nicely done!

One Synth Challenge #159: Surge XT

This song is made with only one open-source synthesizer called "Surge XT" in the Digital Audio Software "Reaper" with only a few free effects (EQ, Compressor, Limiter).

In this track for the OSC # 159 I used 33 instances of the free Surge XT synthesizer.

DAW: Cubase 11 Pro (Frequency, GEQ-30,  Stereo Delay,  Revelation, Tube Compressor, AutoPan and Maximizer)

Free 3rd party plugs: Panagement 2 by Auburn, Baby Come Back by Baby Audio, MCharmverb by Melda Production, Wider by Polyverse Music and Supermassive by Valhalla.

All sounds are TSOM originals. Except: Flutish Organ and the 10CC Choir Pad are tweaks I did with some wonderful presets by Martijn Deluxe. The Alien Voice has been created using the Vowel/Speech wavetable in Surge's TWIST engine.

Fun fact: The sound you hear starting around the 03:50 mark, comes out of just a single _oscillator_. Surge is nuts man.

This is my submission to the #kvraudio #OneSynthChallenge #197 featuring the VST Synth Odin 2 by The Wave Warden

All sounds are coming from the Synth acompanied by a number of moderate tone shaping, mixing and mastering fx. I Mix/Master with MeldaProduction EQ/Compressor, Auburn Lense, Loudmax Limiter. All fx free or built into the DAW. DAW is Bitwig 5.3.x. No Samples. No Postprocessing after the audio export.

Odin 2 -  by The Wavewarden, now with an updated interface.

The sound of this 24-voice polyphonic beast will take you from your studio right to Valhalla! There are three oscillators whose types include analog, wavetable, vector, chiptune, FM, phasemod and noise. Waveforms can also be hand drawn. These can be routed through up to three excellent filters with all the usual types plus comb, formant and ring modulator. For modulation there are envelopes, LFO's, an  x-y pad and an arpeggiator, along with a mod-matrix  for easy routing. The FX section includes delay, phaser, flanger, chorus and reverb, all of which can be easily reordered using drag and drop. The interface is an intuitive semi-modular design, making sound design easy and fun. Odin 2 is free, powerful, fun, and available for Mac/Windows and Linux.
