Not a fun of the snare but I like it as whole. I like the portamento lines coming in and out and the whole vibe out of it.

Very jarrish indeed, with the phase pads and twinkies. Very pleasant. Great sounding mix, very clear and spacious. Btw, a key change is not the same as chord change. And whether or not it is cheesy, is totally down to the chord choice. Doing it without changing the bass note would suit music like this. Maybe not even use full triads

I see why people have commented on the snare sound - really gives some character to things

Excellent work all around. Reminds me of some early Front 242 at times, which I love.

This is my 2nd participation in OSC! To be honest, i had a lot of fun working on this one using (and exploring at the same time) kHs ONE synth by Kilohearts. 

You can use any sound from my presets in your future tracks.
All sounds were created using only kHs ONE by Kilohearts from scratch. No samples are used.
Khs Reverb is used on some channels. The rest of DSPs / effects are Absolutely Native (Renoise).
You have the right to use any sound/preset in your future submissions, tracks or anything else. They are FREE.

Made with 59 instances of kHs ONE. I wanted to create something evocative of taking my kids to see the sunrise for the first time. It is an incredible experience. The sheer power of the light and warmth hitting them was amazing to see. A true balance of beauty and power. I hope you enjoy  the tune.

This is my entry, "This rose has thorns" for the 193rd edition of the KVR One Synth Challenge. All sounds were generated using the Thorn plugin by Dmitry Sches. As always, I appreciate all feedback on how I could improve this track and others in the future. 

Note: due to a mistake on my part during export, where I had mistakenly muted my bass, the track has been replaced with it fixed now as the challenge voting has completed. All comments up until the 18th of April are for the muted version.
