Mom Tudie’s third single off his forthcoming album, Backseat features vocals from indie-soul singer Len Blake. Accompanied by Mom Tudie’s signature soaring trumpet and percussive groove, Blake reflects on the aftermath of a relationship. She blends acceptance with yearning, wondering who will come after her - “...who’s she gonna be, will she look like me?”. Resonant trumpet hooks and expansive chords give the track a poignant feel, while maintaining energy with a washy groove. Mom Tudie’s instrumentation and production perfectly balances Blake’s smooth vocals, bringing the listener on a contemplative journey.
