Happy halloween!

The Arc of Intimacy is an invitation to listen differently, emerging as an experimental body of work that follows the physical and emotional contours of intimacy, while reimagining sampling as more than a production tool. Across
its tracks, the EP becomes a metaphor for the passages within the different stages of desire and
human connection.

Each track is crafted as a movement within a larger composition - incomplete on its own, yet vital
to the whole. Intimacy works in much the same way, where touches and memories carry meaning
individually, but when woven together they create a force far greater than their parts. Sampling
mirrors this process, where elements are gathered, recontextualised and layered until they converge
into something larger and more transformative. In this parallel, the act of sourcing and reshaping
sound reflects how intimacy is built - through the interplay of fleeting moments, gestures and acts
of surrender.

Written between November 2019 and May 2020, 'batch_six' sees boxset moving away from the heavily structured songwriting of previous efforts in favour of a more playful approach. Pieced together from an initial set of 12 loops, 'batch_six' is the sound of boxset letting loose. No deep thinking, no trying to make it sound a certain way, just seeing what happens. Full of richly layered guitars and adventurous instrumental detours, tracks recall the likes of Pavement and Yuck at their most expansive, whilst all clocking in under 3 minutes.
