january in july

ancient crusty song i wrote at a lake and very nearly forgot completely before stumbling upon it like indiana jones adventurously poking around in my notes app. i love this song. it means a lot to me, and more all this time later.

at the time it was written, it was most simply a song about love, with undertones of a certain kind of nostalgia, the sort you feel for the present, as if you were looking from the future. time has aged my relationship with this song much better than the song itself, and i want to remedy that by possibly making another version in the future. i guess i'll see if i feel like it.

couldn't think of a title... it's vaguely inspired by sweet trip. they make beautiful shoegaze that is. peak.
