‘When the Shades Comes Off’ – an exhibition of pictures, words and sound  was created in and around Glasgow’s Barras market by volunteers from the Pavement magazine.  The volunteers, who are part of the magazine’s ‘Two Way Street’ supported volunteering project, all have some experience of homelessness, and attend weekly sessions at the Lodging House Mission. We tried to tell stories of an area, and of every day lives, in pictures. And we talked about the need for investment; in the area, in the community and in people themselves.
