Perhaps this piece inspires the feeling of visiting a temple in the far east...Banaras?

In part, the idea was to have the guitar be fairly repetitive whilst the drums are more free form and expressive... turning conventions upside down. An area of exploration to return to again.

A SERENADE REVISITED (CERETOPIAN 2)

World, Ambient, Electronic, Experimental, Atmospheric, Jazzy, Cinematic... Hope you find something you like and would love some feedback. I enjoy creative collaboration. 

I'm an explorer, musical dabbler, who mostly constructs music intuitively, assisted by technology . I arrange music and sounds a couple of times a month in my free time. I'm mainly interested in music as self expression, to share feelings, emotions, to elevate consciousness and explore energy. 

I'd like to discover new sounds, like a fusion of Satie, Kraftwerk and Eastern music. See the track CERETOPIAN for an example.

Keyboards, guitars, drums and occasionally tin whistle. Also programme beats and effects. I'm interested in the physics of sound and vibration, Cymatics, Quantum Theory and Unification.

I do visual art, I've been told that I approach music in a painterly way, experimenting, improvising, looking for patterns, themes and feelings. I find inspiration in music, often imagining scenes, stories and journeys, flights of fantasy and imagination -  see my art page:

I’m interested in effects of music on consciousness and its use in communities and rituals all around the world. I love how music offers insight into different times and cultures. 

Received some traditional music lessons, advice, inspiration and support from composers Brian Wilshere,   Ludger Hofmann-Engl and pianist Marina Petrov. 

Attended many Indian classical concerts listening attentively. Learned lots watching live Jazz musicians, especially at Jazz cafe in London. Also observed classical musicians and experimentalists at various concerts. 

I've read widely around the topic of music, watched many documentaries and picked up some recording techniques over the years.

"Keep it simple and effective" is an aesthetic that I use a lot! 

If I don't like a piece of music, I like to find out why. I keep an open mind.
Collaborated with different musicians and groups over the years.

I've done several live performances including "Millennium Music Day" at Fairfield Halls in Croydon, “Colourscape Festival” in giant colourful inflatible chambers on Clapham Common,  “The Really Bizarre Music Show” at the Charles Cryer Theatre in Carshalton, "The Exploding Cinema" in London, a variety of gigs at the Croydon Clocktower Arts Centre and various open mic sessions at live venues in South London. 

I travelled to Poland with students from Dartington College, part of a Theatre, Music and Arts project. Most of my friends are involved in music in some form, it's the main thing that we have in common. I enjoy the company of musicians, chatting about music and sharing what inspires us.

I admire a lot of famous musicians but humbly think new paradigms need to be discovered for what it means to be considered successful. I'm very much into integrating Art into everyday life as self expression, communication and sharing. Music is a fascinating passion, sinking many hours into, creating balance and revitalising.

I've a long way to go, particularly with structure, key changes, arrangement and development but love being freeform, intuitive and exploring the mystery of music.
