Fockewulf 190 were a Human League-Ultravox-Kraftwerk-inspired Italian duo who were most active in the 80′s, although as recently as 2010, they released a cover of the classic Kraftwerk track “The Model.” They take their name from a WWII German fighter jet.

Welcome to Rimini and ZYX Music presents the first reissue of Frank Tavagliones "Tumidanda", wich was produced by Giuseppe Mincioni and Fockewulf 190. Also included are two new remixes by Flemming Dalum and Ali Renault !  
Originally released on Market Records in 1984 and distributed by Discomagic. This italo-masterpiece was written by Dario Dell'Aere and Salvatore Nonnis as a support for the shows of Fockewulf 190. Dario asked his good friend Frank, if he would like to be the singer of this song and on top, his sister Nora Dell'Aere to sing the backround vocals. "Tumidanda" was born! They performed very often together in a Nightclub called "Belle Epoque". Dario Dell'Aere said, that this club was a milestone in their artistic activity as Fockewulf 190 back then and a very special place for the italian New Wave- and Disco Community.

Next up on the genre defiant Hell Yeah Recordings is an EP from label artist Marco Dassi, parts of which have already been getting plenty of plays from DJs like Dubfire, who included Amigdala on his recent Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 as well as his forthcoming compilation.
The man behind the music, Italian producer and DJ Marco Dassi, has long been experimenting with a wide range of styles. He’s never afraid to try something new, and to date has appeared on labels like Minus, Trapez, ViVA and Traum with well received tracks that touch on melodic techno, stripped minimalism and hypnotic bass.

The lead track here though, leans more toward a disco sound. Amigdala is an early night, proto-sunset house track with slow and lazy claps cut up by dazzling synths, a touch of cosmic energy and great production values from start to finish.

A tech house Things Happen (Strictly Groove Rec) remix of ‘Amigdala’ which pumps that bit harder and is designed more for the dancefloor than the beach. 

The second original, SWEDISH LOVE goes even slower, rising and falling and building and releasing tension with real mastery. Deft vocals lurk in the spaces between the pixelated, bright synth lines and the whole thing screams pool party!

On the flip, the VINYL ONLY remix comes from Mushrooms Project – a production outfit who has already released a full length on UK label Leng as well as more material on vinyl only outlets Is It Balearic and Under The Shade. Their version of Amigdala is still nu-disco in style, but this one bounces to a more organic guitar bassline and sounds a little rougher, more tobacco stained and indie. Delightfully deep and sweeping, it cannot fail to get you going.
