I took Money Man's "LLC"  beat (prod. By Trauma Tone) and put my own spin on it.  It's not so much of a remix as it is an original song over a popular industry beat. The brand new hook and rhyme schemes breathe new life into this sample-trap style instrumental, showcasing what a lyricist can do over this type of beat.

You Already Know

One of my favorite tracks off The MyNORS "Black Lung" mixtape I did with my boy DP.  The song is about a days work when it comes to eat, sleeping and breathing this music. DP bats first on this one and I hit clean up. Oh, and the beat knocks!

This track is about getting away from the day to day.  Perfect beat to zone out and drive to and the song compliments the music with some storytelling and even a little singing by yours truly.  1st verse is DP , 2nd is me and 3rd we go back and forth.

Holiday - MJ & DP [ prod by DP]

Another collab track with me, DP and Con-Man.  The song was featured on Con-Man's album as well as our mixtape.  DJ Low Cut produced the track and the beat hits hard.  One unique thing we did here was start off the first line our verses with the last line of the verse that came before.  Con-Man kicks off the track, then I go and DP closes the deal on verse 3.  We all went hard on this one.  Hope you enjoy!

Let Em Know - MJ & DP ( feat. Con-Man) [ prod by DJ Low Cut]

Back in 2006 I was in a car accident that injured several people, my girl at the time, being one of them.  The aftermath lingered and things in the relationship became difficult for the both of us.  I wrote this song when I was going through all those emotions and it comes from a very real place.  I sing on the hook and will admit its a little rough in spots but it was therapeutic nonetheless. Shoutout to DP of Piccochi Music for the beat. Hope you all feel this one.

Fading

This was the first single off our mixtape. In this song we sampled an Alicia Keys song and flipped the meaning of her song, which was about love for somebody, and made the song about our love for hiphop. Enjoy!

A dope colab track DP and I did with Reks from MA. On this one we sampled some of our favorite artists into the hook. The song is about life in our neck of the woods.  I'm on the 1st verse, Reks is 2nd and DP comes in on the third.  Another one of my favorites from our mixtape.

Neck Of The Woods - MJ & DP ( feat Reks) [prod by DP]

20+ year rap vet with a 90's hip-hop influence. I love word play and the complexity of a well put together rhyme. I was lead emcee/vocals for a live hip-hop/rock/funk band called The Hook from 2003-2009. I’ve also made music with my good friend, producer, and emcee, DP aka WalyO from Piccochi Music LLC.  In 2013 we put out a mixtape called Black Lung. I put music to the side for a few years to focus on life and career, but the the music lives within me. My artistic expression has been caged up for too long and ready to be unleashed. With life lived comes experience and perspective, and I’m pouring it all into my pen. I’m back and better than ever. It feels amazing to be in the lab writing and recording again. I’m working on a solo joint as well and doing cameos with other artists. Keep an eye out for new drops!
