Jessica’s first single with MFML, “Rubble”, is about pursuing independence for the first time. She was inspired by the whole idea of “freedom” and what that can really mean to different people, in different contexts. Her song *vibes* borrow inspiration from Billie Eilish’s song “my future.”

“Daisy Flowers” to me, is a celebration of freedom. Inspired by my summers spent in the warm glow of the Vermont sun, I wanted to mimic that warmth and inviting feeling for the listener within the the production of the track. The lyrics of this song are joyful, playful, and freeing, expressing the feeling of “cutting the keys” (leaving all distractions behind) and “diving into the sun” (finding exploration).

Luke Willis is a 14 year old singer/songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer from Austin, Texas. His debut single, “way too good at lying,” is about his opinions on many subjects. He talks about time and how it can change in many big ways. Sometimes bad ways. He tells us many things about our human nature as well. But most importantly, he talks about his life and his personality. His struggles in his everyday life, and ultimately, what he thinks about it all.

Hand In The Cookie Jar

The Mother Falcon Music Lab is a summer camp empowering young Austin creatives to "create a world" by exploring music and other media in collaboration. Students make band names, logos, portraits, and screenprinted t-shirts, produce animations and light shows for their final performance at a live music venue, create a podcast and record their songs. The student ensembles are formed on the first day of the program and they must create an original song within a week; recorded for the first time in 2018, MFML could not be more proud to show off this incredible work!
