Coordinating An Offense - Phil Longo, Offensive Coordinator, North Carolina

Tim Zetts enters his second season as John Carroll's offensive coordinator in 2016.

Assistant Coach - John Carroll (2015)

-In 2015, the Blue Streaks offense averaged 31.3 points per game.

-Zetts’ offense averaged 233 passing yards and 156.9 rushing yards per contest.

-Five players earned All-OAC honors under his tutelage.

Assistant Coach - Fordham University (2012-14)

-He tutored the Rams’ running backs in his three seasons at the Jesuit University in New York City.

-2014 Jerry Rice Award recipient Chase Edmonds, who received the honor given to the top rookie football player in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).

-Part of head coach Joe Moorhead’s staff that led the Rams to a Patriot League title in 2014.

Assistant Coach - Indiana University of Pennsylvania (2011)

-In 2011, Zetts was in charge of the running backs and assisted with the kickoff return, punt return and field goals units at IUP, helping the Crimson Hawks to a 7-3 mark.

-Prior to his stay at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Zetts was a member of the football staff at California University of Pennsylvania in 2010 and the University of Akron from 2008-09.

-A 2009 graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in business and organization communications, Zetts was a backup quarterback for the Zips when they won the Mid American Conference title in 2005, before leaving in 2007 to compete for the starting job at Saginaw Valley State. He returned to Akron in 2008 after an ACL tear to begin his coaching career.

State Champions - Ken Krause, Head Coach Muskego High School

Today’s guest on the Coach and Coordinator podcast’s “All In On Offense” segment is Matt Drinkall, current offensive assistant at Army West Point and former head coach at Kansas Wesleyan University. All In On Offense- Defeating the Tite Front with Matt Drinkall, Army Offensive Assistant

Making the Switch to the 3-4 Defense- Brock Spack, HFC Illinois St (FCS)

When taking over Quincy University's under performing offense in 2019, Keith Barefield made two key decisions.  First, he simplified progressions to what he called "either-or" decisions.  Next, he made high tempo the default for the offense.

In this Quickcast, Barefield, now an analyst for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, explains the steps they took to make Quincy the fastest tempo offense in NCAA Division 2 as well as breaking 14 school records and jumping into the top 25 offensive rankings.

The Hawks were the #1 team in NCAA D2 in tempo, running a play every 18.9 seconds.  In the process, the pace at which they played accomplished the following on offense:

-Passing yards +152 ypg over 2018, 9th nationally, +132 spot jump 
-Total yards 445ypg, +128 ypg 23rd nationally, +100 spot jump
