Sometimes you hit on a really good idea before you’re actually ready to bring it to maturity.

That’s always been my song “Red Moon” to me. I wrote this song at 20 and knew right away it was the best song I had written to that point. I rushed to record it, and in the years since built a wider brand based on the “Red Moon” symbol. Red Moon Recordings is the name of my music LLC, there are red moon stickers, t-shirts, koozies, action figures, a spinoff series… okay, I made up those last two, but you get the gist. I use it for everything.

However as I’ve grown older and developed more as an artist, I’ve felt the need for this song to grow with me. I’m a lot stronger of a singer and producer than I was back then, and have matured a lot as a writer and person since the angsty young man I was when I wrote it originally. We all deserve a chance to grow, right?

With that in mind, I’m excited to reintroduce “Red Moon” to you. She’s a bit slower and a bit more urgent, yet feels like the song I always wanted it to be.
