Since 2003 I had the thought of doing an all vinyl 80s club event, all mixed and all danceable. I started to track down all the best mixes and pressings from around the world on 12" as many of the records from the early part of the 80s I only had on 7" at that time.
In lockdown, this fantasy gig happened as a livestream. The feedback was amazing so I finally got the chance to turn it into a live gig at The Underground - Stoke on 19/3/22 and here is the result.

Here's my mix of some of my favourite Jenkins Lane Raindance rave classics from 1988-1991.
Over an hour of vinyl only tunes from in my opinion the best years on the rave spectrum and fond memories of Jenkins Lane.  Please be aware I own all of these records and some are over 30 plus years old and have been played thousands of times so some clarity may have gone .
This is for those who were there in warehouses, fields and big tops as I was and those that can only wish they were there .

1989 Mix Summer of Love Part 2 (Mixed by Carlos Francisco)

Many people have different interpretations of what acid house is. I unfortunately missed the U.K scene by a few years so never got to live it but for me this mix epitomises what I would have wanted to hear. If you were lucky enough to live through the scene then hopefully you’ll find a moment that’ll take you right back to the dance floor.

For me the beauty of sets during the 87-90 era was never knowing if the next track would be an acid, techno, hip house or piano house track but you could pretty much guarantee it was gonna be a banger! I’ve tried to replicate that sequence throughout the set.

Many fresh edits and a few newer acid tunes are included to spice things up but as always I’ve tried to keep them as close to the originals as possible. Some tunes blatantly weren’t made during the era but fit it so well I just couldn’t resist.

With that in mind turn it up as this one’s mixed to make you move! Peace, Love & Unity! 😎

The Acid House Experience - 18-09-19 (Warehouse Classics)

Here is a 1 hour mix of early house classics 1986-1990 that I did for a history of house Move radio FM documentory.

Many trax packed in,mixed live on vinyl on 2 turntables in one take! - no edits, laptops, tricks or cheats.

These were the foundations that the Stoke On Trent  House scene was built on, some were hits, others not, but most still get played to this day on a regular basis.

I was 15 in 1986 when house music arrived in the UK and I was instantly hooked and still am today!
