Guess who got SynthV Pro!
I've had the Basic version for quite a long time; I just haven't used it as much, though. And I loved the Vocal Mode, and Cross-lingual Singing Synthesis features so much that I wanted to use the Pro version badly.
But after saving enough money and transferring to my new bank account, I've finally got the Pro version and all the AI banks (plus Renri) available (except for the ones I only have to get from Taobao)!

And before you ask, I'm NEVER going to give up on UTAU (especially the ones I love so much).

As for the cover itself, I just split the notes trying to match up the UST's tuning since I'm still not used to SynthV's tuning methods.

BTW, I'm not sure if you guys have noticed through the UST or vocals, but I've used his Re-recorded (再録) CV for the tapped "T" and "D" sounds. This is because some of his Japanese "R" samples of his VCV sound similar to an "L" sound.

【OpenUtau Cover】Evil Food Eater Conchita【Amagaku Feat. Unit ''BloodyMary''】

Sometime after preordering Teto SV when she was announced, I tried to improve my SynthV skills while waiting. Though I'm still not used to all the tuning methods, I tend to correct some pitches that Instant Mode (or Sing Mode as of SynthV 1.9.0) made by drawing the curves if necessary.

This is the first cover to be mixed entirely in Pro Tools Intro. I've been taking more Pro Tools classes in college and finally got to do some basic mixing! While I'm still unhappy with my mixing skills, it's slightly better than how I mix in Audacity. I still use Audacity for things like syncing the final result with the original video or whatever PV I want to use.

【SynthV Cover】Toeto (English Ver.)【Xia Yu Yao】

I've always loved this song, and I've been plug-and-playing this for fun with some of the voicebanks I had that I didn't hear a cover of yet. And as soon as I set up Kotodama's voicebank and heard him sing, oh my god, did I fall in love with this! At that moment, I was like, "You know what? I have to cover this immediately!"

Also, I should mention that I like using a metronome track or guide BPM (or whatever you guys call it) to keep everything in sync when mixing. And since this song has some BPM and time signature changes, I tried to calculate them and put them in the UST I used and edit the timing so that it would sync with the instrumental. It was such a challenge, but it was kinda interesting since OpenUtau supports other time signatures besides 3/4 and 4/4, unlike the OG UTAU.
