Prince William Sound, what I heard: suddenly a sound... an
exhalation so powerful that we turned our heads... Second of
August, two thousand and nineteen, Prince William Sound Alaska:
Mother and calf Humpback Whales breach next to our kayaks on
the glassy waters of Prince William Sound.

Scoma’s calling for music is strongly linked to earlier days playing Ocarina of Time and Diddy’s Kong Quest to name a few. Punk Rock taught him to play guitar and be in a band. Jazz and Classical music was fuel for curiosity and became the palette for his undergraduate work at SUNY Purchase. Writing and producing tracks for The Vigilance Committee has been in rotation since, and remains a central part of the picture. Nostalgia and dreams are evident in Scoma's compositions. Music is his vehicle to the past while simultaneously moving him forward and shaping his future. Being a media composer has always made the most sense. The stories most dear to him from film and games also happen to be his favorite soundtracks.
