As a growing force in EDM Ana Criado has been working with top DJ's like Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Max Graham, Robbie Rivera and Beat Service. Together with her longtime musical partners Adrian&Raz she been working on music which focuses on her more introspective, melancholy, sensitive side: chillout/electronica.

Dancing Sea engages us in a dance of rising and receding sonic waves, pondering about the astonishing mystery of the sea. Afterglow takes us on a retrospective journey to 'love turned lie' land... and we all've been there, haven't we?

There's a good bunch of intense, dark and extreme, grinding electro-techno gems on the "Raval Rave Breakers" first compilation. While Boris Divider's 'Collapsed Cluster' recalls of the more clinical approach of labels like Raster-Noton, Eel manages to deliver a fresh mix of styles on 'Sraight Edge', where Old Skool Breakbeat and EBM draw an unforgettable match made in heaven. Last track on the A side comes from Classicworks boss Neuhen, but is Patricia (Opal Tapes, Spectral Sound) who remixes it: in "Supress" we can find all the magic tricks of the NYC based producer: eery atmospheres, gently distorted drums and a warm feeling of cozyness. On the flip, RNXRX delivers "Aktion Intertia", one of the most psychedelic jams he's ever did: an industrial acid track as catchy as it can be. Oakland's "Heroine From The North" sounds a bit like when New Beat became faster and more agressive, being mixed with styles like EBM and trance.

Straight off the back of his remix on the last Insult To Injury release, we’re very excited to welcome back Tom Coveney (a.k.a. one half of Psychemagik & 100% of techno-titan Thomaas Banks) to the label as part of Apollo View. Together with long-term collaborator Jon-Mark, the Apollo View boys have cooked up two tasty interpretations of pieces that inspired them when they began their musical journey together back in 1992. These renditions make up their worldwide debut, Delta V

First off the conveyor belt is, ironically, IV; a tip of the cap to the classic, Piano Tune, they have created part-electro-smasher / part-piano-mega-anthem. Massive 808 kicks boom away as a frenzy of percussive white noise bursts & hats jostle for position over the top, whilst heavenly piano chords puncture the furore in all the right places. 

Things take a slightly slower turn for the nostalgic ambience of II, a nod to the staple ‘Sing Time’ but with recreated synth sounds, which leads us into a world of synthesised guitars & gorgeous sampled vocals. Festival sunrise sets, ahoy!  

First out the traps on remix duty is Logtoad, whose release on Optimo’s AF Trax last year has not left the record box! We were expecting big things from his mix of II & he’s delivered the goods here in spades. 

Up-and-coming super-star Violet completes the package with a skip-tastic, bass-heavy version of IV. Somewhere between Chicago house and UK garage, celestial pads whisk you away to Drum Machine Island, where the native 909’s are off their tits on hallucinogens, achieving transcendence around the fire.

For this premiere we check out a Swiss artist calling himself 'Midnight Menace' (@rolfee99djhallal) for his first self-released EP.

This Senegal-based producer is only 19 years of age yet is hitting the ground running with this first official EP release. His Soundcloud account highlights that he is flexible in his productions, making EBM, Techno, Drum & Bass and more. Though for this release, Midnight Menace focuses his attention on Electro. 

The track selected to premiere is the second track called 'Freaky' on the 3-track EP. The track is a very straight-forward structure with rushing hi-hats, pad stabs and bassline that moves with the bass drum. This release will come available on May 15th. You can pre-order now on bandcamp.

The upcoming release on Church is a 10-track journey with the Italian Aura Safari quintet behind the steering wheel. Alessandro, Andrea, Daniele, Lorenzo and Nicholas all come from different musical backgrounds and generations, which is evident in the album. Years spent in the local scene of Perugia (Italy) attending Umbria Jazz Festival every summer and winter nights at the legendary Red Zone Club have shaped the sound of the collective.

Traces of various musical eras and influences such as Jazz Fusion, 80's Boogie, World Music, Italo House, Balearic Beats and Jazz Funk can be felt throughout the release, giving it great diversity and unpredictability. The Aura Safari LP is an example of their genuine love of music spanning across a variety of genres. Swift percussion, sexy trumpets, funky piano chords and flowing melodies is only the tip of the iceberg of what you’ll find inside. The double 12-incher is coming out next month, so be on the lookout!

PREMIERE: Aura Safari - Music For The Smoking Room [Church]

Hell Yeah’s summer will be all about Passages, a brand new and fantastic album from Quiroga that shows off his unique take on the Neapolitan sound. It is a soothing mix of real musicianship, laid back funk, soul and jazz stylings that wash over you, fill your heart with warmth and take you to a faraway beach where all your worries melt into the ether. 

It is 11 years since Walter Del Vecchio’s last album on Cactus Island Recordings and since then he has put out a steady stream of sublime EPs on the likes of his own Really Swing as well as, of course, Hell Yeah. Label boss Marco calls him “a delicate musician” and it’s true that his deft sound is filled with beauty and detail. 
A lot of attention is currently on his native Naples scene, but Quiroga doesn’t fit with the usual narrative thanks to his left of centre take on the breezy Mediterranean sounds of the city. This new album features six brand new cuts as well as six of his favourites that have previously been put out Really Swing, and is a fantastic showcase of his sound, with two of the tracks already getting big support from Italian ensemble 291out. 

Gentle groove undulations and refrained vocal euphoria define opener Got Your Love, while fat bass twangs and nodding keys light up the jazzy-soul-funk fusion that is Martinica Feelings. Things get even more horizontal and romantic on The Zoist, with its steamy female coos and delicate keys, and North Hollywood Witches is a glorious bit of slow motion boogie with squelching bass and effervescing keys. 

Elsewhere there are the lazy tumbles of Non Dire Notte, which is awash with acid gurgles, while glistening dreamscapes like Citto Di Mare shuffle on lush live drums and new age melodies. There are hippie vibes on Luzhin Defence which evokes sun beams breaking through the clouds, then Chiaia Sunset will melt your heart with its diffuse keys and rippling rhythms and ambient closer Bava casts you adrift into the clouds. 

With many other gems along the way, this a perfect summer album that will temporarily rid you of whatever problems you may have.
