So she wrote her last unfinished novel "Sanditon" for her own satisfaction, without thought of how it might be published, (because in those days it would have been thought too satirical) but as a challenge to those who came after her to complete. This is a song about how as we get older we start thinking about posterity, and that in some way we might leave the world richer than when we entered it.
