Another of my piano piece from the 90s. This one has a plaintive mood, but the music flows along unhindered by the mood, and there are warmer moments in the middle section. The piece was composed on 4-6 July 1992; what was I longing for back then? Almost certainly an end to the loneliness that I had felt for many years by this stage

This set of SWWs was written in memory of a wonderful singer, teacher and friend, Diana Walkley. This piece is a waltz which borrows from both the Enigma theme and Nimrod, composed by Elgar just before moving to the house in Malvern which he named Craeg Lea, where Diana later lived and I visited several times in the '90s

A few years ago, utilising the time at home afforded by the well known reasons, the homeofficepianist embarked on an expansive exploration of the musical universe, with each journey catalogued in a collection of periodic recordings. 

Initially, these recordings were made as a tool to self-monitor practice progression. However, these humble recordings capture something of the feeling of performance, and therefore the homeofficepianist began to share them with friends and colleagues. The positivity of this experience has inspired him to create a platform to welcome you into this musical exchange, joining him on a mystical and enlightening path.
