“Mondo Nuovo” is a trilogy concept by Venetian born artist Simone de Kunovich. 

It is the story of an exploration into an imaginary remote area of our planet, an exotic place where Nature is still uncontaminated, answering only to its own logic. 

Following the first chapter on Superconscious Records, Simone de Kunovich takes us on a journey amongst peaceful native tribes (“Cerchio Magico”), obscure esoteric rituals (“Serpiente Cosmica”), psychedelic delusions (“Paradiso delle Sabbie Mobili”) and breathtaking discoveries (“As I Was Moving Ahead..”) 

Once again the project has been inspired by his Cinema studies, which were focused mainly on 70s World movies by the likes of Herzog and Jodorowski - “Mondo Nuovo” is an intricate and rich opera of sampling and layering, capable of connecting bits from obscure Italian libraries, vocal shots by the G-Man of “Half Life” and monologues from Louis Malle’s 1981 cult movie “My Dinner With Andre”.

What strikes the most about this one is the pumping bass and relentless rhythm, like a spaceship's machinery taking you on a journey."

Not An Animal keeps up the pace and pressure with yet another high quality distinctive release, further cementing the labels specific sound and revealing more of the scope of its musical mission. Machete Savane are comprised of label co-owner Andy Bainbridge and producer/composer Saul Richards. Manticore continues with their instantly recognisable hi octane yet organic discofied sound, as previously displayed via their releases on Cynic and Redux. Remix wise, there's a very much 'night and day' choice to be had here, with Johnny Nash (Land Of Light) providing his trademark blissed-out ambience to a beatless rendition and Ian Blevins taking the original even further into dancefloor territory, upping the tempos and evoking the drive of Paperclip People.

The underwater world was alive with the sound of bubbles bursting and marine wildlife. As he swam amongst the depths of the ocean in the submarine he looked out upon the expanse of blue which lay beyond. This was an aquarian dream and the ocean was overwhelmed with floating fish and wild corals. Out at sea the going was wild, the waves crashed heavily against the rocks and the and the rocks were poisonous and jagged to those who ventured near. 

Donald's House appear on a new four track EP from Ken Oath alongside Low Flung, riggles and Underground City. This one is packed with soulful melodic twists and turns.

'Jealous Lover’ is a wigged out, tribal space dance slow burner, which has been supported by heavyweights like Roman Flügel. Immaculately executed percussions are the prominent part of the track, which allows the track to sound nice and gentle when played on 105 BPM and driving and vigorous when played on 120BPM . DJs love this type of tracks.

PREMIERE: Ponty Mython - Jealous Lover [Futureboogie]

Following on from this years releases by Longhair and Dr Valentines Claptrap are back with Vanity Project’s new release ‘Big Pharma’. Vanity Project has been managing Claptrap with his partner in crime Dr Valentines since their first 12" release in 2017 and dropped his first full release, a self titled EP in 2018. Since then he’s been DJing & performing live shows around the UK and has most recently dropped the City Elastic EP on London’s Midnight People. Big Pharma features four spaced out original house cuts ready for the dance floor.
A1, 'Letters and Numbers’ opens the EP with a driving groove, tight drums and rubbery
synths.
A2 the title track ‘Big Pharma’ brings a hint of acid alongside a deeper thumping house groove.
B1 Grow Slow, kicks off the second side with a mellow down tempo sizzler, prime for those outdoor parties. 
The final track Index, premiered here  brings the EP to a close with swirling euphoric synth lines and a dance floor moving stomp
