Lara Samira releases  ‘the key remix’ by Tim van Werd on January 21

The 21 year old Singer-Songwriter Lara Samira from Berlin released ‘the key remix’ by Tim van Werd on Dutch Indie label Toukan Records. 

Lara released her very first remix, ‘the key’ by Tim van Werd of her EP ‘phosphenes’ on January 21, 2022. The DJ, producer and remixer from the Netherlands, feels honoured doing a remix for Lara and is very excited for this beauty to come out.

Tim has teamed up with Fedde le Grand `(‘Bounce To This’ on Darklight Recordings), Dannic (‘Vintage’ on Fonk Recordings) and LAKSHMI (‘Wars’) before. It’s not the first time he remixes a single: the legendary song ‘‘The Weekend’ by Michael Gray has proven to be a successful remix.

Lara’s EP ‘phosphenes’, including the original ‘the key’, has over 1 millions streams on Spotify. Currently, Lara is supported by 8 huge editorial and personal Spotify Playlists (‘Akustischer Frühling’ (DE), ‘Herbst Chillout’ (DE), ‘Winter Chillout’ (DE), ‘Pop Brandneu’ (DE), ‘t Koffiehuis’ (NL), ‘Made in NL’ (NL), ‘Kerstliedjes 2021’ (NL), ‘The Pop Lounge’ and New Music Fridays and her streams continue to grow. Three years after its original release, Misha Angèle’s dreamy debut single ‘In Love’ is having a major moment — and she’s celebrating with a full In
Love EP, out June 10 on her own label, THE BEACH.

Originally released in 2022, In Love features powerhouse vocals from none other than Michael Rice (yep, the UK’s Eurovision 2019 star). The song
quietly made waves on Dutch radio back then — but in early 2025, it exploded on TikTok and Instagram, catching ﬁre all over again. Now, it’s racked
up over 80,000 streams on Spotify and 150,000+ views on YouTube Music.
So what’s ‘In Love’ really about? That wild rush when you lock eyes with someone, your whole body reacts, and it hits you — this might be the love of
my life. You want to speak, but nothing comes out. You just hope they feel it too. It’s that movie moment, captured in a smooth pop/RnB slow jam with
a heartbeat.

Misha Angèle wrote the song in a sketchy Airbnb near Hollywood’s Walk of Fame — no AC, just a guitar, her phone, and a lot of sweat. She always
dreamed of working with Michael Rice and when he heard the track, he was instantly down. They recorded vocals at 4AM in Wisseloord Studios (The
Netherlands), and you can hear the magic. Their voices melt together like that sticky summer night.

Behind the scenes, Misha Angèle (real name Marcia Sondeijker) is no stranger to hits. She’s a double platinum-selling songwriter with over 500
million streams and 790,000+ albums sold worldwide. Her credits? Only TAEYEON’s global smash “Weekend,” TAEMIN’s “Strings,” and Eurovision’s“Pray for Me” for Kristin Husøy. She even landed multiple #1s on iTunes and Billboard’s Dance Airplay Chart (shoutout Max Styler & Laura White!).

Oh — and did we mention she won the Dutch version of Songland (I Want Your Song) with “Love Letter” for girl group OG3NE? Casual.

The ‘In Love’ EP is co-written by Misha Angèle and Kobe White, and produced by Misha herself and Roulsen — who’s worked with RED VELVET, Timmy Trumpet, TAEMIN, and Dutch stars like Maan.

This EP is a full-circle moment: a song written in the heat of a Hollywood summer now getting the global love it always deserved.

The 20 year old Singer-Songwriter Lara Samira from Berlin will release her new single ‘Something I Can’t Fake’ on February 12 on Dutch Indie label Toukan Records. The perfect Valentine’s song that makes you smile.
 
The song was recorded during the first lockdown in the Netherlands due to COVID-19, in March 2020. Social distancing and isolation have been a mental challenge but this just made her more ambitious to release her new single ‘Something I Can’t Fake’ hoping to bring some light and sparkle with Valentine’s Day in these dark times.
 
Lara, known for her participation on The Voice Of Germany, explains that her new single is honest and cheesy, but that’s what makes it so authentic. The song was written with pure happiness. ”Occasionally, my lyrics are as clear as looking through glass window panes and come straight from the heart- “something I can’t fake”. Like most of Lara Samira’s songs, this one came to life during one of her solo writing sessions in her own little bubble, her bedroom. “I love to include lyrics with hidden messages for myself! I might have done this with ‘Something I Can’t Fake’ too.
 
This is Lara’s first release on Toukan Records, led by producer Roulsen and songwriter Marcia Sondeijker hailing from Utrecht, The Netherlands, known for collaborating with Dutch artists Maan and rapper Sven Alias, Eurovision artists Tamta and Kristin Husøy.
