EZ2DJ 7th CV

EZ2DJ 7thTRAX CLASS R ~CODENAME:VIOLET~의 숨겨진 곡이자 
EZ2DJ 사상 최고의 난이도로 현재까지도 대부분의 모드에서 보스곡으로 자리매김한 곡. 
보스곡이라는 점과 뛰어난 곡과 BGA를 가졌다는 점에서 
beatmania IIDX의 冥의 포지션과 비슷하다. 
BPM은 210으로 BPM 215의 Dream Walker가 등장하기 전까지 
EZ2DJ 시리즈 수록곡 중 가장 빠른 BPM(변속 제외)을 가지고 있었기도 하고
스트릿부터 시작해서 스페이스 믹스까지 저레벨의 패턴은 찾기가 힘들 정도.

그렇게 좋은 평가를 받지 못하는 EZ2DJ 7th CV에서 손에 꼽는 개념곡으로 평가받는다. 
CV 발매 당시 엑스트라 스테이지로 첫 등장해서 낮은 게임성과 곡의 질,
구곡 삭제 등으로 CV에 실망했던 수많은 사용자들에게 기쁨과 감동을 선사하였다. 
이 곡 하나만으로 CV에 대한 평가가 어느 정도 좋아졌을 정도였기에 
CV의 존재의의 그 자체라고 할 수 있는 곡이다.

제목인 카무이는 일본어라는 오해를 받고 있지만 사실은 아이누어로 '신' 이라는 뜻이다. 
아이누어는 가타카나에 일부 부호를 덧붙여서 표기하기 때문에 
보통은 'カムイ' 라고 적는다.
한자인 神威는 '카무이' 와 비슷한 음의 한자를 가지고 표기한 것이다.
참고로 같은 한자를 한국어식으로 읽었을 때는 '신의 위엄', 
중국어로 읽었을 때에는 '신비한 위력'이 되기에 뜻이 달라진다. 
하지만 너무 막막하게 높은 난이도의 위엄도 있는 데다가 
카무이 역시 본래는 신위(神威)의 뜻을 포함하고 있는지라 중의적으로 해석되기도 한다.
