This is another old track from 2003, formally known as 'Computeraided Warcraft' (working title). This Version is a re-edit with some additional instruments and some changed VST´s. The mastering is still a bit crappy. Hope you like it anyway...

I composed this track after seeing the news of the american invasion in Iraq, looking at the pictures of so called 'surgical warfare' and computeraided attacks with all the disastrous results and all the civilian casulties.

Now all of this will happen again in Syria, for sure.... Let us hope that the actual conflict will not set the whole region on fire....

When I first heard Denso Kvar I loved how super funky it sounded so I asked Mr. Word-Bridage ("Chic" to his friends) if he'd be ok with me adding some trumpet to the mix. He gave his thumbs up so this is the result.

I used two different mutes on the trumpet. The brighter parts with less bass to them are with the Brusio mute, a wooden harmon mute. The darker parts that sound more "woolly" are with the Soulo mute. 

The original tracks of Denso Kvar were gently modified by taking the original mix and doing three passes through analogue gear. Then there was some minor tweaks of the mix done with Melodyne of a couple of notes, adjusting their level in the mix and lowering their formants. As well, I harmonized the last 15 seconds. Melodyne was also used on the trumpet parts to gently massage some witchy pitches and blempo tempos.  =^]  
 
This track is downloadable too. It is a 24bit wav file so it is pretty big. I've stopped mixing down to 16bit as most players (for sure iTunes and Quicktime) can handle 24bit wav.

Despite hailing from East London, DrumTalk's eponymous EP for Huntleys + Palmers possesses sounds from around the globe; Detroit techno-style synth lines riding over more off-kilter rhythms, drawing comparisons to early Daphni and Four Tet with its use of African influences. Championed by Gilles Peterson, Seth Troxler, Midland & Huxley of late and attracting a large, loyal and diverse following from James Holden and Skream, ‘Wildcard’ shows DrumTalk’s sinister sneer, a techno weapon shooting to kill. ‘Gamma’ makes playful experiments with sounds to great effect, a unique and eloquent record that sways with grace.  

DrumTalk is an East London-based producer and DJ. Inspiration comes via the musical lineage of London, Chicago, New York and Detroit, Lagos and Accra. Elements of house, techno, bass culture and the rhythms of West Africa and the Caribbean are all to be found here. His productions and remixes for More Music, Sofrito, Soundway, Get Me! and Huntleys & Palmers have been making an impact far and wide, garnering the attention and support of DJs such as James Holden, Jackmaster, Gilles Peterson and Skream, amongst a host of others.

Josa Peit is a Berlin-based singer and musician. Her debut EP is released on Brandt Brauer Frick's label The Gym Records.

London-based producer DrumTalk flips the Asiko rhythms of Ghana’s Mpese Mpese Band - bridging the gap between Hackney and Accra.

The original track came out in NIgeria in 1986.

Mood in C is the latest EP by @parraforcuva. Following the highly acclaimed album “Darwīš” together with Senoy on @projectmooncircle, the release is a collection of songs that have been created in and around the last year.
The song “Unfinished Colours” together with “Others” is the first collaboration of a future joint project of the two friends. All percussion was either recorded on journeys and travels or at home with everyday objects to give the EP a unique sound.
