I swear I heard my pain in your voice. Echoes of my own thoughts. Maybe there's a place for me here. Maybe there's a place for me. If bioluminescence were contagious, I'd hope to catch your shine. Ears open, eyes agape and scanning pages. Tying my laces by tracing your lines. Voice that eviscerates me. Words cut through to the spine. All of these things you have shown me, they've burrowed into my mind. I've been searching desperately for someone like you inside of myself, hoping to find a brighter hue. So I'll keep putting needle down to vinyl when I'm feeling alone. Sound waves spilling into darkened corners to light up this home.
