A renowned showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns this April with ‘Explorations 09’. This time around we welcome seven new artists for their full label debuts in Magdalena, Lily AZ, Tom Peters,  BAILE, Jozef K, Boxer, and Ronfoller.

First up, collaborative track between Magdalena, Lily Az, and Tom Peters ‘I Think About You All The Time’ blends pulsating synths with deep sub swells.

BAILE, real name Reed Kackley, first appeared on Anjunadeep 10 with ‘Soft Light’. His beautiful follow-up ‘Bind’ reaffirms the Brooklyn-based producer’s propensity for rich, textural dance music and asserts him as one to watch in 2019.

Manchester native Jozef K marks his Anjunadeep debut with his delicate ‘Inward Spiral’ - an airy arrangement of synths and pads set on a backdrop of stuttered claps and organic percussion.

UK producer Boxer signals his first label showing with ‘Blue Planet’, an 8-minute epic of expansive builds and lush chord progressions.

Closing out Explorations 09 is debutant Ronfoller. Hailing from Azerbaijan, Ronfoller showcases his distinct sound in ‘Along’, blending a memorable riff with a backdrop of textural steel drums and driving percussion.

We’re very happy to have JMO return to the label. The very first Songspire release was from JMO called ‘Mellifluous’ and now the Dutchman return with an equally beautiful record named ‘Arcelia’, a masterpiece that’s fueling the sound of tomorrow. Magical chord progressions and harmonies, this production allows for minds to drift and thoughts to wander. On remix duties the talented Avoure shows he can present an even deeper interpretation which can fit in many dj sets to come, this is ‘Arcelia’.

Norwegian electronic music producer Fehrplay highlights his ability to meticulously blend cinematic emotion with dancefloor sensibilities, delivering customized cuts from the playbooks of deep house and techno in his first sample pack collection. Parallel Sounds is packed with an assortment of euphoric analog synthesizers, pulsating dance-ready drums, and bruising basslines, along with Foley and found-sounds. It was recorded in a remote cabin in the backwoods of Scandinavia, processed through analog outboard equipment, and crafted to perfection.

'Vintage & Morelli's "Hymn To The Night" artist album arrived last year and proved to be an extraordinary career milestone for the Serbian phenom, as it spawned various globally supported singles and helped launch his first ever tour of the States. Canadian singer-songwriter Brandon Mignacca contributed enormously to the record, as two of the standout tunes on the record, "Love Is" and "Bloom," feature his honeyed vocals. It is our great privilege to present two new interpretations of these songs by celebrated label veterans Hexlogic and Kobana, both of whom offer deeper-leaning takes on the original compositions.

On the heels of his extraordinary remix of The Midnight's "Collateral," Kobana treats us to another visionary interpretation of a label favorite. His deep, funky, and ultimately exhilarating take on Vintage & Morelli and Brandon Mignacca's "Love Is" showcases the Polish maestro's uncanny gift for crafting intoxicating grooves and hypnotic, layered melodic soundscapes. The arrangement begins with a minimalistic rhythm and bassline in the opening minutes; at the quarter turn, the groove starts to take off, and a few additional melodic motifs seep into the mix. The song's patient crescendo continues to unfurl, ultimately revealing a rapturous lead chord progression; the listener is left with no doubt that love is the answer.'

This April 3rd Jody Wisternoff releases ’Story of Light', the fourth single off his upcoming LP 'Nightwhisper’. Pairing evocative chords with strings from classically-trained cellist Michael Spleit, Wisternoff creates an arrangement that builds and builds into an emphatic cinematic climax, complete with thundering percussion and a growling low end. 

 With over 25 million streams across his solo and collaborative catalogue, Wisternoff's latest LP is a culmination of decades at the forefront of the UK rave scene. Written during an introspective period for the DJ and songwriter, 'Nightwhisper' will be toured globally over the coming months.

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns for its thirteenth instalment featuring Anjunadeep alumni Kahwe and three debutants in Collé, Rezident, and Shai T & DJ Zombi.

Kicking off the compilation is the Netherlands’ Collé with his ‘World To Come’. Hosting a rich vocoded lead and a chugging bass reminiscent of 80s synth pop, Collé makes a strong nostalgic statement in his label debut. In a marked contrast, British Anjunadeep alum Kahwe presents a textured track in ‘Ai No’, threading oriental samples over a deep driving low-end. 

Combining a warm synth progression with cinematic sound design, Rezident’s ‘Pure’ signals a promising debut for the German youngster. Closing out the EP are Shai T & DJ Zombi, two producers based out of Israel, with their percussion-led piece ‘High In The Sky’. Moulding soaring strings and a full piano progression, the duo’s inviting single alludes to the nearing summer.
