Covid-19 has unexpectedly and arbitrary ended the lives of millions.  I wrote this song because of that tragedy.  The text is a well-known poem by Emily Dickinson that describes an unexpected and creepy carriage ride to death, in which the speaker passes memories from her life.  It is beautifully performed here by mezzo-soprano Megan Ihnen and pianist Marianne Parker. It will be released this spring on the Naxos label.
