Composed for string quartet. A piece inspired from a day 42 years ago , the 20th of July in 1974. A day that marked the history and the population of Cyprus.

What is the most painful moment in a person's life? Each of us experiences those painful moments in different periods of our lives. Sometimes they come suddenly sometimes we are prepared for them…or at least we think we are.

Two months ago I experienced mine. Te brain works in a mysterious way because ironically, at the same time somehow memories are taking over you.  For the past two months nothing could ease the pain of this traumatic moment. Sometimes words are not sufficient to describe feelings. Writing this piece came from the heart, it became a way to externalize those emotions  without using words but music. 

The easiest piece to compose , the hardest to listen to.

Dedicated to Jenny, my forever angel.
