A Dublin native, Kev Murtagh has gone from strength to strength since 2019 when he started in the Irish music scene post-graduation from the Strictly Deep DJ program, taught by well-known experienced veteran of the Dublin scene Jonathan Kiely, Kev has made the most of his time within the scene by showcasing his unique style and blend of music by providing multi genre guest mixes for countless mix series, collectives and radio shows around the country and the UK, and from numerous performances in Dublin city, racking up club shows in the likes of 39/40, Tramline, The Sound House, Bow Lane Social Club, The Turks Head and Diceys, all while holding down his bi-weekly show on Ireland’s number 1 station for underground dance music PHEVER Radio, which he has been presenting since May 2020. His Friday show ‘Hausify’ has been making waves since its inception, helping to promote the niche genre of Deep Minimal House, while also helping to promote new talent with his ‘Hausify’ guest mix series.

Kev has devoted himself to music full time since 2020 after enrolling as a student within the respected music department of Bray College of Further Education, where his mentors include ‘Give us the night’ head man Sunil Sharpe and Irish techno titan Doug Cooney, two of the most advanced, knowledgeable and respected figures to ever come out of the Irish techno scene. Passing his first year studying DJ Techniques & Music Production with distinction, Kev has gone on to further enroll in the 2-year HND Music Production course also at BIFE where he aims to further his knowledge as a DJ and Producer.

Away from the decks, Kev has also emerged as a talented writer, and he has been active in writing articles and conducting interviews with various figures on the scene for Scottish label Project radio, he has written many pieces for Project Radio, mainly focusing on giving light and promoting his home scene within Ireland as he would like to give back to his home as much as possible. Kev has also written pieces for the website of Pirate Studios, a piece which he is very proud of. Kev aspires to hold down his place within the Irish music scene by continuing to showcase his unique talent, drive, determination and passion for his craft.
