Shrewsbury United Reformed Church morning service (Zoom and Facebook) this Sunday 28th July 2021 will be led by the ECO group.  The virtual choir and orchestra were asked to prepare a version of the hymn "Touch the earth lightly" (words by Shirley Erena Murray set to the tune "Tenderness" by Colin Alexander Gibson).  We hope you enjoy listening to it.

We are looking forward so much to being able to support our worship with "live" singing, but for the time being we continue to enjoy contributing with our virtual music.  Our latest offering is our version of "Great God, your love has called us here" by Brian Wren (tune/harmony by Erik Routley) with an added introduction and descant by ourselves.  As always we hope you like, and gain daily strength, from it.

SURC Virtual Choir & Orchestra Great God Your Love

We are moving on and created The Song of the Sea for November 2021, when COP26 was taking place.  This was prepared differently from our other virtual music: the choir now meets together and so was recorded "live".  The instrumental parts were recorded separately and have been added by the usual virtual process.

When COVID-19 prevented Shrewsbury URC meeting together, around 30 members of the choir and orchestra took music into their own hands from their own homes.....
For our online Pentecost service we prepared this our version of Spirit of the living God.  Enjoy!
