2024 Song Commentary:
Ah, my most popular track, sitting at 1 million views on my Youtube.
I was led to make this song after listening to the original FNF cover of it, and it's safe to say that I was not pleased.
This cover of Confronting Yourself, along with the first one I made, is in the key of C sharp/D flat. This is because of a cover made by one of my former favorite Undertale fan musicians. I'm certain that cover is gone forever now, as that musician's tracks seem to have been completely wiped from their archives.

I used the voice for Sonic from The Chaos Series because I really didn't like the one used in the original cover.
The voicelines for Sonic.exe here were recorded by myself. The line in the segue before the Super Sonic section is a reference to a line in the bad ending of another Sonic.exe game.

The idea of having Super Sonic was around before I even made this song. I didn't want to have Sonic lose to his evil faker, because I know he wouldn't give up, even after being taunted by Sonic.exe with his dead friends. I know Sonic would protect the world for the ones he love no matter what.
I did everything in my power to make the moment as powerful as I could. I had a fakeout that made it seem like Sonic was defeated before showing the Chaos Emeralds, I held off on starting the singing to let the transformation breathe, and I had Sonic be the one to take his turn first, because there has been a shift in power, and Sonic has the advantage. Sonic and Sonic.exe sing the same notes in the guitar solo as a final clash.
The outcome of the fight is left ambiguous, but if you ask me, my cards are on Sonic winning.
