In Greek mythology, Lycaon was the first mythical king of Arcadia.

The myth says that he tried to test Zeus' omniscience by serving him the cooked flesh of Lycaon's own son Nyctimus, in order to see whether Zeus was truly all-knowing.
In return for these gruesome deeds, Zeus transformed Lycaon into a wolf and killed his offspring; Nyctimus was restored to life.

Moreover, there were rumors that in ancient Arcadia, there took place human sacrifices to Lycaeus Zeus, as cannibalistic rituals of a cult which had the wolf as its totem.
In that annual sacrifice to Lycaeus Zeus, a man would transform into a wolf every year, but became a man again if he did not eat human flesh for ten years.

This compilation is a dedication to the ritual that occurs every two years, deep in mountains between the eastern and western ghats of southern India. It is a dedication to the people and place, the time and space; the energy that culminates in one dimension to manifest as Atmik Ritual.

ATMIK RITUAL began with our energies focussed towards 'The Awakening' on the 16th - 18th of November 2013 followed by ATMIK RITUAL Chapter II 'The Journey' held between 26th - 29th February 2016.

ATMIK RITUAL Chapter III - The Healing’ 29th March - 1st April 2018 was the third and final edition of Atmik Ritual.

We have been through a lot in the past six years since the first chapter. Some of us have been returning to the calling every year; others are moving onwards to forward their life’s journey. The fact remains that our paths crossed in that brief moment of space and time and we were one; that connection will never fade, change our lives forever.

The Ritual is not a place, it is rather a collective manifestation of consciousness in the space-time continuum; where minds are free to journey far into the depths of the subconscious. Here we create our inner paths to outer space. On this journey, we pick up bits and pieces of information that we call experiences and bring them back to our world to share with our friends and family.

Atmik Ritual creates a safe space for the physical so the spirit can travel freely. Recognize your reason and understand you...  more

Dendrite is the underground Forest/Darkpsy project of South African artist Dmitry Shmelev. After falling in love with the scene in early 2018 he decided that it was his duty and driven passion to create psychedelic music of his own. Dendrite's sound consists of powerful, deep, cheeky basslines tied with organic and or mechanical leads as well as atmospheric soundscapes that will give you goosebumps. This project is designed and dedicated to translate realms beyond linguistics and thought into sound and frequency for one to submerge into the stories of the untold mysteries of existence .
