Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.

Today, I decided to cover the sequel to Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993), Homeward Bound 2: Lost In San Francisco (1996).

Movie Synopsis:

When adventurous pets Chance, Shadow and Sassy are accidentally separated from their vacationing owners, they're left to fend for themselves on the mean streets of San Francisco, in search for the "golden bridge" that will take them home.

Having not watched this movie in a long time, I was surprised how it all started coming back to me as I was watching this. I remember first hearing about this movie when I saw the movie Jumanji in 1995.

At the time I had no idea that this movie was even a thing until I saw the trailer that played before Jumanji and I was beyond excited.

I received this movie on VHS for my 14th birthday back in 1996 and watched it constantly. I even named my black Labrador that I rescued from an animal shelter, Delilah after the beautiful white dog in this movie who falls in love with Chance.

Let's just say Jamie's attitude got way on my nerves in this movie and Bob has not improved in the last two years as he still seems to see the pets as a major inconvenience and not understanding how much Peter and Hope love their dog Shadow and cat Sassy, and Jamie pretty much could care less if Chance disappeared forever(at least at the beginning of the movie), he whines incessantly about missing his baseball game (boo-hoo)the fact that he thinks he has time to get in some practice with his team before his family boards a plane to go camping in Canada is ridiculous after all they as his Mom tells him "we're leaving in 20 minutes" (granted this is pre 9-11 but still).

Honestly, the stakes are not high at all in this movie, and I definitely saw similarities between scenes in this movie and the first. Take for instance the scene between Kate and the park ranger as he tells he what the pets are up against (bears, mountain lions etc, " Movie Quote "these animals wouldn't stand a chance out here") compared to (cars, trucks, trolleys, other strays, animal science labs and let's not forget the wackos out there Movie Quote "lost animals and cities just don't mix").

I'm surprised, for a dog who grew up on the streets, Chance is pretty clueless to how things work unless those two years as a pet erased any memory he ever had from living on the streets.

As far as the voice work goes, everyone reprises their role but Shadow due to Don Ameches death after the first movie was released. Ralph Waite is ok, but he makes Shadow sound like an out of breath 80 year old man where Don Ameche was a perfect mach.

Just like the first film this one is chock full of Terminator references thanks to Chance. I felt bad for Riley (worst kid/owners ever, makes Jamie seem like an angel).

Overall, I enjoyed this movie for what it offers, laughs and feel good moments.

Homeward Bound 2: Lost In San Francisco (1996) Movie Review

Hey Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.

Today, I covered the movie Lassie which was released in the Summer of 1994. 

I really loved this movie when I first watched it when I was 13 I got it for as a Christmas gift in 1995 and I still love it today at 38. This movie has it all, family fun, adventure, action and new beginnings, plus Tom Guiry (Matt Turner) wasn't bad to look at when I was a teen and I'd already known him as Scotty Smalls in The Sandlot from 1993 (a movie that I already reviewed for the podcast and is also available to listen to anytime).

Also the scenery in this movie is beautiful, they film in Virginia and the movie score is amazing, really tugging at the heart strings, and the cast does an awesome job in the performances of their roles.

I hope you all enjoy this movie review and I had a great time covering this movie.

Bonus Episode: Lassie (1994) Movie Review

Hey Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.

Today in honor of Halloween. I covered Stephen King's 1983 horror classic Cujo.

This movie stars Dee Wallace, Christopher Stone, Daniel Hugh Kelly and young Daniel Pintauro.

Movie Synopsis:

Cujo, a friendly St. Bernard, contracts rabies and conducts a reign of terror on a small American town.

Since my review is over 6 hours long, i know, crazy right?

I cut it into 2 Parts, each part is just over 3 hours. PART 2 will be released on Sunday October 31 for Halloween.

I've watched this movie repeatedly over the years since I was 11 and it had now become a October Halloween month staple every year.

Let's just say I was obssessed with this movie growing up, whether it was my love of animals or Saint Bernards in general I don't know.

I really enjoyed reviewing it for the podcast and also reading snippets from the novel which the movie is based on.

Bonus Episode: Cujo (1983) Movie Review PART 1

Happy Wonder Wednesday Everyone,

Today, I covered S1E5: The Lock In, which aired on October 20, 2021.

in this episode Dean is reluctant to attend the annual church lock-in until Kim tells him it's where she got her first kiss; then he enlists his friends to help him pair up with Keisa.

This was a fun episode, I loved seeing Dean's other friends, the one  we haven't seen until this episode, Norman and loveable and adorable returning Hampton. We also met Charlene, the pastor's daughter. such a sweetheart.

When Kim let's slide that she got her first kiss 5 years earlier at the church lock in which is  basically a sleep over for boys and girls in a church that are twelve. YIKES!

Lillian their mother takes it upon herself to chaperone the event. Dean is so hoping he gets his first kiss with Keisa, however sometimes things don't always go the way we plan.

The Ten Commandments I found out is 3 hours and 40 minutes, never seen the movie, but I'd say needs more than a five minute intermission. Plus there are multiples versions of the film, including a really bad looking CGI animated version.

I love the little comparisons I pull put from this one to the OG The Wonder Years. I don't want to give any away here to spoil the episode ending.

In this episode Bill comes up with a solution for Kim's car desires, but the solution is only pleasing to him; Dean is worried about seeming uncool when Clisby ends up chaperoning him and his friends.

The Wonder Years: S1E5: The Lock In

Hey Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.

Today, I covered the movie Problem Child 2.

Movie Synopsis:

The worst child in the world makes an unthinkable discovery - there is another child even worse than him, and it's a girl.

Junior's back in his first adventure since his last! 

Junior and Ben move to Mortville which seems like the perfect town to live in. 

We find out that it is in fact a metropolis for single divorced women who line up at Ben's front door as soon as he and Junior pull up to their new house and move in.

Good grief!

We also (sadly) get the return of Big Ben (Ben's father), a sweet single mother with her own Problem Child, a girl named Trixie who becomes Junior's nemesis and then later ally. 

Of course we have to have a villain, who comes in the form of Luwanda Dumore, a woman who has been married 6 times and basically owns the town of Mortville. Think of a woe bag version of Mrs. Deegle from Gremlins.

I could not stand this woman, The way she just takes over Ben and Junior's lives. Redecorating their home, it was too damn much.

I really enjoyed Annie's character and watching this as a 10 year old originally I had no idea that was Amy Yasbeck (who had played Flo in the first movie). Such a vast contrast from self absorbed Flo.

In this episode Lisa gives Ralph a Valentine's card out of pity, but soon regrets it when he develops an unwanted crush on her.

I thought this was such a sweet and funny episode.

Happy Full House Friday Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.

Today, I covered the first episode in the Fathers & Sons Double Feature, Full House S2E3: It's Not My Job, which aired on October 28, 1988.

In this episode Jesse tells his father he's leaving the family bug-killing business. Stephanie gets her first cavity.

I liked this move for Jesse as he starts to venture out into the jingle writing territory and  finds success while trying to break away from the family exterminating business even though doing so will break his father's heart as he sees no future for Jesse as a musician since he keeps calling it a hobby.

Stephanie has her first cavity which stresses her out and Kimmy doesn't help matters by putting terrifying images in Steph's head of how the procedure is done.

Poor kid, now she's having nightmares.

DJ and along with Danny and Joey are trying to put her mind at ease but to no avail. Joey comes up with Stephanie finding her courage at the dentist visit, by using a courage detector (spit sucker) to find her courage hanging ball, which is actually the uvula.

I honestly don't think that I realized what that was until I became an adult and looked it up on the internet.

Even though it's never stated by name in this episode. Just the courage hang-y ball.

At least Jesse and his Dad make amends even though his Dad will never accept him as a musician, he will always have his back and be in his corner,

We get a Pam name drop, well, Nick (Jesse's Dad) says "when your sister died") and tells him how proud he was of Jesse for stepping up and moving in to help Danny with the girls.

I enjoyed this episode finding it cute and heartwarming.

Bonus Episode: Romeo + Juliet (1996) Movie Review (In Honor of Podcast Listener Nicole's B-Day)

Hey Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of She's A Small Wonder: A Small Wonder Podcast.

Today, I covered S3E7: The Promotion, which aired on October 24, 1987.

In this episode to win a promotion over Brandon's boss fawning, Ted decides to reveal Vicki's robot secret to his boss at a company picnic unaware that Brandon is out to sabotage Ted's effort.

As far as episodes go this one was really lackluster, and Brandon Brindle being there only made it worse.

Ted wanting to reveal Vicki's a robot to his boss for a promotion, I don't know just feels wrong some how or not the right time.

Turns out (spoiler alert) he doesn't get the promotion, Brandon does, and it's a good thing because apparently the promotion is for a robotics management position in Iceland.

Jamie disappears to the kissing booth at the company picnic for most of the episode and shows up towards the end with lipstick prints all over his face. We never see the girl running the kissing booth, but according to Jamie she's a fox.

How many times has Harriet explained to Vicki how to throw a tantrum? 

I've lost count as this point.

You would think that Ted would have programmed Vicki with a voice recognition that way she only can be programed or reprogramed to take orders from the Lawsons and not just anyone.

Think about that, Ted.

I'm most excitedly for next month's episode S3E8: The Lawsonville Horror, which aired on October 31, 1987.

In this episode an electrocuted Vicki behaves as though possessed.

Small Wonder: S3E7: The Promotion

Happy Full House Friday Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.

Today, I'm kicking off the month of AUGUST with the last ever SISTERS Double Feature with, Full House S7E10: The Prying Game, which aired on November 16, 1993.

In this episode Stephanie and Kimmy resort to snooping around Steve's apartment when they suspect that he's cheating on DJ with another girl. Meanwhile, Jesse, Joey, and Danny tape an infomercial to sell a hair care accessory that Jesse invented, which ends in chaos.

This episode was ok for me. Stephanie's nosiness finally catches up to her when she suspects Steve of cheating on DJ.

Steve's relationship with his cousin is just too familiar and honestly uncomfortable to watch.

Any stranger who stubbles upon them in the library would probably assume their dating, when he asks "what are you making for dinner tonight" She replies "pasta romantico". Then she touches his arm and she kisses him on the cheek. Which is super weird. I don't know any cousins that do that, not mine, that I can think of.

To each their own, I guess.

Stephanie having no idea that Evie or Edie whatever her name is, is Steve's cousin and rather than flatout tell DJ what she saw, she wants to be sure, so she invites Kimmy for a stakeout to Steve's apartment. Apparently Kimmy has a knack for breaking into places, because she used that card like she's done it before.

They find out the truth about Steve's cousin after Steve and DJ come back from an almost date and Evie/Edie is there and he introduces her to DJ.

A shocking blow to Steph and Kimmy who are hiding behind Steve's fish tank.

They try to sneak out but get caught, Kimmy admitting to stealing a bag of M&M's is hilarious to me.

DJ tells Steph to stay out of her life.

When Stephanie tries to explain to DJ why she did it, eventually DJ comes around and forgives her.

The side plot, Spray Guard 2001. I couldn't stop thinking about the Nimbus 2000 from Harry Potter.

While the hairspray shield is a good idea, someone claiming they invented it first, just over the phone, while the guys are filming their infomercial, is just a tad suspicious. 

I'd be like "ok, prove it"

The guy's don't want to be sued, so they nix the idea.

Join me later this month when I cover Full House S8E8: Claire and Present Danger, (I don't get it, the title makes no sense, I mean, sure her name is Claire, but where's the danger),which aired on November 22, 1994.

In this episode Danny asks the mother of Stephanie's friend Gia out on a date--causing Michelle to rebel. Joey is surprised when the French woman he asked out on a date arrives with her husband. Jesse is nervous about his first appearance with his new band.

Small Wonder: S3E8: The Lawsonville Horror

Hey Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of She's A Small Wonder: A Small Wonder Podcast.

Today, I covered S3E14: Here Today, Gone Tomorrow, which aired on January 16, 1988.

In this episode Vicki gives a bank computer data that Ted is dead.
This creates issues for him and Joan because they can't use their credit cards to buy groceries, since Ted had been doing what we in today's world refer to online banking to pay our bills. 

He was 30 years ahead of his time here, however Vicki mishears Ted mention something about him being dead and Vicki inputs that data into the computer to cut off his credit because he's dead.

He has to go to the bank to prove he's alive, which doesn't do anything, he doesn't show his ID, the the bank manager has no idea if he is who he says he is.

Joan and Ted have a fake funeral to prove to the bank creator and other random people including Brandon and Bonnie (Edie McClurg's final episode) that he is very much alive.

Jamie and Vicki have a small side plot where he's selling packets of Christmas Tree Seeds in January for $3.95.

No one's buying that crap because no ones thinking of Christmas in January.

Joan gets a Life Insurance check for $100,000, that of course they have to give back.

In this episode the Lawsons plot to convince the Brindles to move.

Small Wonder S3E14 Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

In this episode D.J. has a date with her past that catches her off guard, and Kimmy's date with Fernando is nothing but surprises.

Loved Steve's Bayside Letterman jacket, but the fake toupee has to go, like yesterday!

Matt was adorable in this episode, but I will always be Team Steejay!

S2E7: Girl Talk, which aired on December 9, 2016.

In this episode Kimmy hatches a plan to reunite and relaunch the girls' childhood band, Girl Talk; a vengeful video making fun of Ramona goes viral.

I also complain a lot about how much I can't stand Gia, but if we have to have her to get Rocki, I'll deal with it. Popko is a giant jerk, I never could stand this guy, and this episode just cements that fact. I loved how Jackson stood up for Ramona.

Fuller House: S1E12: Save The Dates & S2E7 Girl Talk

Hey Fuller House Fans,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.

Today I covered, S3E18: Here Comes The Sun, which aired on December 22, 2017.

In this episode the gang tries to get their magic back with an 80s themed party and celebrated the 30th Dadiversary with Danny, Joey and Jesse as well as a major surprise from Kimmy. We also have a surprise guest star.

This was a fun and sweet way to wrap up Season 3 and get us pumped up for Season 4.

Speaking of Season 4, I also cover S4E2: The Big Night, which aired on The pressure is on for DJ and Steve to have the perfect date. Stephanie puts a hold on Kimmy and Fernando from being affectionate. Jackson struggles with Rocki on whether they are boyfriend and girlfriend or not.

I really enjoy DJ/Steve 2.0 and Jackson and Rocki are so adorable together. I love how she makes him work for their relationship. She's not about labels and he's all about define the relationship.

Kimmy/Fernando/Stephanie/Jimmy sweet/cute duos and crazy schemes and shenanigans.

Fuller House: S4E10: Golden Toe Fuller & S4E11: It's Always Open

Today, I covered S3E21: The Rock Band, which aired on April 30, 1988.

In this episode Jamie forms a rock band; Ida Mae has amnesia.

The Rock Band part of the episode was good, Ida Mae and her quick and over in less than 5 minute amnesia spell was crap. I don't hate Ida Mae on a Bonnie Brindle level yet, but we'll see come Season 4, she already getting to Brandon Brindle level of annoyance and we just met her in the last episode.

and S3E22: Book-It, which aired on May 7, 1988. 

In this episode Jamie avoids reading a book for a school assignment.

I really enjoyed this episode, mainly because I'm such a bookworm and I never got to do the Book-It Program in school.

Small Wonder: S3E21: The Rock Band & S3E22: Book-It

Hey Fuller House Fans,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast.

Today, I covered S5E2: Hale's Kitchen, which aired on December 6, 2019.

In this episode DJ and Steve take a cooking class. Meanwhile, Stephanie has a hard time keeping a promise to Max. Ramona falls for the cute food delivery guy.

I thought this was such a fun episode, we get to meet Ethan, such a sweetie who falls for Ramona, and Stephanie and Max bonding time when she brings the Renaissance fair to Max when she can't take him to the actual one, due to her taking care of baby Danielle. DJ super got on my nerves and annoyed me this episode, her competitiveness was next level to the point where I think even Steve had had enough of her.

and also I covered S5E3: Family Business, in this episode, Jackson accidentally sends a bad post to Ramona's new boyfriend from her phone, Fernando has a crisis at the start of the Formula One Season after his retirement, Max is trying to do his first high dive.

Let me correct this Jackson/Ethan/Ramona plot. Ramona accidently likes one of Ethan's old Instagram pics on her phone and now she thinks Ethan is going to find her a bit on the stalkerish side for scrolling through and liking his old IG posts. Jackson makes matters worse by commenting on it.

Honestly Ethan is just confused that she liked one of his childhood photos and then unliked it, which sent him a notification. He's a totally super chill dude.

The start of the family buying Uncle Monty's Sub Sandwich Imporium.

Season 5 has honestly gotta be one of my favorite Seasons of the show. It's so fun to see how everyone has evolved since Season 1. So much has happened in that time.

Fuller House: S5E2: Hale's Kitchen & S5E3: Family Business

Hey Fuller House Fans,

Today, I covered S5E4: Mom's Night Out, which aired on December 6, 2019.

In this episode Matt and Gia need DJ to notarize their marriage license even though Rocki objects, Gia gets invited to have a Mom's Night Out with Steph, DJ and Kimmy, the guys have a Dudes Night In, while the girls are out.

I enjoyed the guys night in, more than the girls night out, I'm not into dance offs and or dancing with the stars. Steve, Matt and Fernando and Jimmy hanging out was so fun.

and I also covered S5E5: Ready Player Fuller.

In this episode, DJ and Jackson bond through a video game which was DJ's secret until a face to face playoff and the grand reopening of Uncle Monty's runs into a bunch of snags.

I really enjoyed both these episodes, the family coming together to help have a good grand re-opening for Uncle Monty's and DJ and Jackson spending time together, even if she's pretending to be another gamer to get closer and bond with her son. So sweet.

Fuller House: S5E4: Mom's Night Out & S5E5: Ready Player Fuller

Today, I covered S5E8: Five Dates With Kimmy Gibbler, which aired on December 6, 2019.

In this episode Ramona introduces Rocki to Ethan and she suspects that they already know each other, Lisa Loeb turns up in DJ and Matt's veterinary clinic which draws Steph to get Lisa to listen to a song she wrote.

This was a funny and cute episode. Love Steph's song and also Ethan and Rocki pretending that they don't know each other and they used to hang out.

I also covered S5E11: Three Weddings and a Musical, which aired on June 2, 2020.

In this episode while Steve babysits, DJ, Steph and Kimmy head to a wedding expo and wind up walking the runway. Jackson and Ramona audition for the school play.

The wedding dresses were horrible looking (IMO), triple weddings/triple the drama, but I loved the plot with Jackson and Ramona and the musical, Jackson sounding like Josh Groban.

Both episodes were adorable and sweet.

Today, I covered S5E15 Be Yourself, Free Yourself, which aired on June 2, 2020.

In this episode Kimmy causes trouble for DJ and Matt when she fills in for their ill receptionist at the vet clinic. Steph feels guilty when she realizes Jimmy has been more considerate than she has lately. Jesse is on a mission to find out who bit his daughter, Pamela, at school.

I thought this episode was kind of weaksauce. It was kinda just ok for me.

and I also covered S5E16: The Nearlywed Game, in this episode 
The kids get together to host a game show, The Nearlywed Game, that they live stream. It tests how well the couples know each other - and what they really love about each other.
I'd have to say this episode is a Season 5 favorite for me and aside from the holiday episodes that I re-watch yearly this one is also on occasion in rotation from time to time, because it's so fun and enjoyable to watch.

Both episodes were adorable and sweet.

Fuller House: S5E17: Something Borrowed

Angela Bowen here the host of She's A Small Wonder: A Small Wonder Podcast.

Today I the final two episodes of Season 3, S3E23 Safety First, which aired on May 14, 1988.

In this episode Brandon claims injury from Vicki's Heimlich maneuver.

I had high hopes for this episode especially when Joan told the class they would learn the techniques of performing life saving procedures in class like CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver. We didn't see any of these demonstrated by the students instead we get a lame play about accidents in the home acted out by Reggie, Vicki and Harriet even though she doesn't go to their school but got special permission from her school to participate in the play.

and S3E24: When You Hear The Beep, which aired on May 21, 1988.

In this episode Jamie starts an answering service for his friends. After most of Jamie's classmates gets grounded from using the phone he decides to charge the kids for an answering service that he and Vicki create.

Small Wonder: S3E23: Safety First & S3E24: When You Here The Beep

It's 2025 and I'm hitting the ground running with the first four episodes of Season 4.

Today I covered S4E1: Divided We Stand, which aired on September 17, 1989.

Bland start to a new Season especially with it being the final Season of the show. The last two season openers gave us Season 2 Chewed Out and Season 3 Woodward and Bernstein, gave us don't miss this episode vibes, this one was major weak sauce, middle of the season filler episode.

S4E2: Double Date, which aired on September 24, 1988.

In this episode Jamie, Vicki and Harriet have double dates. Typical being into two places at once double date scenario. It was funny and more going on.

S4E3: The Gang's All Here, which aired on October 1, 1988.

In this episode, Jamie and Vicki join a gang. Speaking of the episode Chewed Out, we get Adam Rich (Eight Is Enough fame) playing a bully of the Screaming Skulls gang instead of Pete, the guy who introduces Jamie and Reggie to chewing tobacco two Seasons ago, the only different is Adam Rich's mullet has gotten longer and stringier. Gross!

and the last episode S4E4: Rashomon, which aired on October 15, 1988.

In this episode the Lawson's along with Brandon and Harriet are invented by the Robotics Company president to this health spa and the kids and Brandon encounter a bugler. Then we are treated to 3 different versions of what happened and then we see what really happened, thanks to Vicki.

Small Wonder S4E1: Divided We Stand, S4E2: Double Date, S4E3: The Gang's All Here, S4E4: Rashomon

Tonight, I'm covering S3E7: And They Call It Puppy Love
which aired on November 10, 1989.

In this episode a dog wanders into the yard. Convinced that the dog's a stray, Stephanie wants to keep it. They learn that the dog's name is Minnie, and she came all the way from Ohio. Minnie gives birth to a litter of puppies on Jesse's bed.

Also in this episode I try to find AduFlintstonesnes Vitamins (no luck).

I talk about taking my driver’s training written test, also find helpful information about preparing for your dog to give birth, and when I picked out my puppy Rocks when I was 13 (I’ll post a picture later) going to Krispy Kreme (first time).

The plan is successful except it results in Jackson getting punished by D.J and Ramona receiving no punishment at all. Max picks out his new puppy and names him Cosmo. Also a skunk makes an appearance and it leads to stinky results complete with puppies in a tomato juice filled kiddie pool along with Stephanie, Max and baby Tommy gatting a liquid tomato barrel bath as well.

Full House: S3E7: And They Call It Puppy Love

Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.

Today for a bonus episode I decided to cover the 1996 TV Movie For My Daughter's Honor or the alternate title Indecent Seduction.

This movie starred Nicholle Tom of the first two Beethoven movies and the hit tv show The Nanny, and Gary Cole of Office Space and The Brady Bunch Movie as well as A Very Brady Sequel.

In this movie In Tate, Oklahoma a popular coach, Pete Nash, is accused of having a sexual relation with 14 years old Amy, one of his school's pupils.

I was the character Amy's (Nicholle Tom)age when this movie came out in 1996, so I could relate to her on an age level, also I loved the country group The Mavericks and had the CD that heavily features the song "O' What A Thrill". This movie also lightly showcases the early talents of Alyson Hannigan of Buffy and How I Met Your Mother fame as well as the first four theatrical American Pie movies. Plus Sara Rue who went on to star in the show Popular and guested on The Big Bang Theory.

 Sadly, when this originally aired in 1996 I had to go to bed before I could finish the movie, so I didn't see the ending, even though the following week in school a teacher who also caught the movie on tv happened to fill me in.

I didn't see the movie in full until I was in my 20's when I caught it on the Lifetime Channel.

Rewatching the movie as an adult I really felt for Amy's character and also cheered on her mother as she begin digging deeper into this teacher's illicit history with previous female students over the years.
This whole town turned on Amy and her family, protecting their beloved coach and turning a blind eye to his wrong doings of teacher student affairs.

Each family member gets a pleasant surprise in the form of loving, giving and receiving.

Also I do a deep dive into Spuds McKenzie via my internet search including his or should I say her gender, her time as an alcoholic beverage spokesanimal of the 80’s and 90’s as well as her real name, it’s a long one.

Let me just say I had a mini Spuds stuffed dog complete with Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses when I was 7 and not once did it tempt me to pick up a Bud Light.

Also I’d like to publicly correct myself over Grumpy Cat’s (R.I.P 2019) real name who I guessed was tuna fish it’s actually tarter sauce.

Episode Description:

 while Michelle and Stephanie are busy making extra long Christmas lists, other members of the Tanner household are not feeling so cheery. Danny misses Vicki, Rebecca misses the white Christmases of her childhood, and DJ worries that she will miss Steve after he decides to attend college on the East coast.

Nicky and Alex are afraid of Santa Clause.

In this episode Snowbound on the Ingalls homestead on Christmas eve, Caroline, Laura, Almanzo and Hester Sue share memories of Christmases past.

After the episode I share clips of my Christmas Memories of Home Movies from Christmas 1992 and Christmas 1996 with my Dad playing Santa at the farm (Grandparent's House).

Bonus Christmas Episode: Little House On The Prairie: S8E11: The Christmas They Never Forgot

Hey Everyone,

Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast.

Today, I covered what I thought was another Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas Episode. However I was sorely mislead, that episode couldn't have less to do with Christmas as it's apparently set during the early summer, I think.

The only thing even remotely attempting to tie this to Christmas is the title of the episode, Dave's Wonderful Life, a blatant nod to the movie It's A Wonderful Life.

Now George Bailey he had serious problems, a lot more serious than Dave Seville's crap tactic day, his car shits out on him and he has no money to get it fixed, he is clueless to the game of soccer, yet for the boys's sake he takes part in what I'm guessing is a Father/Son Soccer match, which he causes them to loose cause he's a big as an ox and as clumsy as a mule and trips over the damn ball. What a giant dum dum.

His songs suck major butt and no one wants to buy them (He's got Jesse Katsopolis syndrome in the song writing department).

He can't afford anything including sending the boy's to the summer camp of their dreams, something they've been looking forward to all year. How they're still living in this house with all Dave's money problems is beyond me.

The boy's (actually Alvin) voices this option, when they're complaining about how bad Dave screwed up.

At this point Dave feels the boy's would be better off if he never existed, 

Dave. calm down, you're just in a rutt, it'll be fine. Give it time.

His examples of Alvin, Simon and Theodore appearing to him in a dream and telling him how he's helped they lives for the better, give him a glimpse of their grim future if he hadn't been there and boy oh boy is it grim.

Theodore tells him about the time he wanted to run for class president in kindergarten (wow, they start out young, huh?) and because he's shy he doesn't win and later down the road becomes a hermit on a desert island going full Tom Hanks in Cast Away, 

Simon because he misspelled Mississippi in Kindergarten is still in the same grade at age 40 (completely outlandish), and Alvin who wanted to start a lemonade stand and only made one glass and didn't have a sign advertising his business winds up as a filing clerk at age 80.

Luckily Dave wakes up from this nightmare realizing the boys do need him in their lives and it inspires him to write a song about being there for someone and appreciating them. The song sounded like a ballad for a wedding dance between a parent and child.

We don't learn if the song is rejected or if it's a major hit because the episode ends with him and the boys at the piano as they boys sing the song he wrote.

Overall, this episode is just ok. Still feel duped that this wasn't a Christmas episode though. Oh well.
