The 3 Miniatures for flute and clarinet are similar to Stravinsky's small pieces for piano. The first, a Prelude based on diminished intervals and 7ths, is both meditative and full of dramatic tension. The second is an Allegretto which is based on the form of the Rondo mixed with structures of dances. Finally we have an invenzione a due voci which means "inventio" in two parts (or voices) that is based on the Bachian polyphony mixed with elements of modernity. The term "miniature" initially referred to middle ages paintings on manuscripts, later it was used to indicate also brief compositions in aphoristic style with a small structure as the general meaning of "musical Sketch".

Bagatelles for Solo Bass Clarinet was written in 2024 after a Consortium Commission organized by CULTURETONES ORGANISATION. It was premiered by Clarinetist George Georgiou at ARTE Music Academy on June 14th 2024. The piece consists of
two contrasting movements, each one presenting the instrument’s unique abilities.

The first movement is calm and lyrical demonstrating the ‘vocal’ aspect of the instrument while the second movement is playful presenting the virtuosity of the instrument.

Daniel Adams: Recursive Dialogue

This composition explores the notions of symmetry, repetition, and transformation. Throughout the piece, phrases, snippets of melodies, and rhythms undergo transformations, resulting in an emergent asymmetrical structure. It is a trio for bass clarinet, cor anglais, and piano, with the bass clarinettist doubling on clarinet in Bb in part two. 

Symmetries is rhythmically intricate, with each part interwoven with the other members of the ensemble. The piano is not an accompaniment but a separate voice in the composition, and all instruments use a contrast between staccato and legato articulation throughout a performance.

The Six Studies For Various Clarinets were written between March 20th and April 20th 2020. They came upon me rather suddenly and unexpectedly as never before had I wished to write for a single-line solo instrument that was not a piano.  They were inspired by major events which were happening in my life at the time; my dear mum, Margaret Mary Denny, known as Pearl, at the great age of 91, passed away on March 24th 2020 - right on the first official day of our
UK Lockdown amid the growing worldwide Covid-19 Pandemic! Mercifully, I was able to be with Mum at the end.
