Composed in 2004, re-recorded in 2021. 

I wrote this melody when I was a student. I remember: it was just before going to work (pizza delivery boy.) It was very quick to find. 

The first version has a bad sound. But the idea was saved. Present. And she accompanied me for almost twenty years.

Today, I completely redid it with new knowledge. Because for 20 years I tell myself that I have to re-record it!

I hope you'll like her.

Música inspirada e gravada  no isolamento social da pandemia do coronavírus (jul/20). As linhas de violão e voz eu fiz pelo celular, a linha do baixo o Cristovam Ruiz Jr mandou de Birigui (gravou no Estúdio Terra) e as linhas da guita o Giovanni Pilosio também mandou de casa. Nosso Alquimista Alexandre Morales (o Bucha, do Estúdio Jaburu aqui em São Paulo), acendeu o fogo do seu caldeirão e fez essa produção "divina" (também o backing vocal e colocou a percussão). Gratidão Monstro aos meus Brothers por mais um puta mergulho musical.

A Voz Dentro De Mim

For the 31st Solar Kama Sutra song I decided to challenge myself a bit and do something in 7/4 time.  I tried remembering a band I heard do that and thought, "Isn't Pink Floyd's "Money" in 7/4 time?"  I remembered hearing it and thinking it was...

...  Turns out it is!  So for that reason I thought of Pink Floyd, and tried to do a Pink Floydish sound.    It's also a nod to Radiohead's "Pyramid Song".  I tried to capture the same feeling that song gives me, but with Solar Kama Sutra this time. 
(by the way, Solar Kama Sutra has always been just one person.  It's just the name for what I call the music)

Since Radiohead already used "Pyramid" which is well-known since ancient Egypt to be the coolest shape, I had to go with something else.  "Sphere Song" and "Cube Song" ?...  Well...  Those song titles just aren't gonna work....   Maybe "Dodecahedron Song"?....  Hmm... That actually sounds pretty catchy...  Feel free to use it!  

 My vocals are used more heavily on this track than it seems.  Throughout the track I tried to make my vocals sound like guitars and other instruments

  And definitely hats off to Pink Floyd for making a hit song in a 7/4 time signature.   How many times has that been done before?!

And of course, hats off to Stonehenge.  The ultimate inspiration for this track
