A song titled with "Future" that uses tropes from a 25 year old genre that was based around a 70 year old drum break. The future will be made up of little recycled pieces of the past mashed together in a never-ending cycle of regurgitation and collage. At least we can dance to some of it.

Future Nothing (Tommgoku)

OK, long story. This song has been lost a few times. It was started with an MPC2000XL and a Fostex 4-track (2006?) that I used to make beats with and forgot about. Then I moved, few years later I found the 4-track and transferred a lot of it onto digital. Then I chopped up three of the tracks and made most of it into the skeleton of this. Then that mac died. A few years later I salvaged some of the hard drive, and low and behold this track lived again. I played with it a bit, added some drums and such, new synths, and then I asked my friend Josh Blake to play guitar on it.
He played the sh#t out of that f@ckin guitar. It sounded sick. I chopped it up again and played with the guitar, made a few mixes, and got it close to finished. I mixed down to a cassette tape one night and about a week later the Mac I was using died (this happens a lot) and I lost all the music I was working on, including this song. I had the demo mix, but just figured it was over and this song would just never make it out into this world. 
 I still had the cassette, and it sounded alright. It wasn't finished or polished, but hell, I ain't Quincy Jones and this track is punk rock southern jamband disco house music that is just strange and emotional enough that keeping it to myself was just utterly selfish and I should therefore just throw it out there for those weird enough to enjoy it. Also, I was afraid if I didn't share it I might lose the tape and such. I can't risk having my Mac die right now, although I do back up everything to a separate hard drive nowadays.

The fact that it was pulled from a cassette tape through a very old tape deck with semi-cleaned heads has messed with the frequencies a bit. Analog does what it wants. Some of the highs go a bit higher than I would like, but it is what it is. Ok, if you read this far I thank and salute you and hope you like this track. We made it especially for you.

Mansa Musa

An Asteroid hit Mars slowly turning into birds in Africa that become me walking in the snow on top of drums and a badly tuned guitar that went through autotune. The breaks were made with modular drum rack to cassette and then back to sampler.

I told an AI art website to make a cheesy synthwave city album cover and it made the image you see.

This is what a space pirate would listen to on a long trip in a stolen ship. Lots of Moog and an Arturia MicroBrute along with a trio of 2hp oscillators make up the symphony in this galactic moment of tranquility. Fields of nothing glance out across the starry distance calling out to the longing traveler with songs of adventure.

Now forget all that and picture a Ferris wheel let loose from it's base and just rolling down a city street crushing everything in it's way. 

This is song I made with a modular drum rack, some cassette tape decks, and a Moog Grandmother layered three times. All vocals come from A.I. based websites that turn text into speech. No voices are based on celebrities. If you want to sample this song, go ahead, just be creative.

Chemical Daylight

Relaxed complex low tempo lofi hip-hop with layers and layers of analog synths, a Commodore64 and a Mellotron recorded to tape. Good times. The music was inspired by the idea of what a space pirate would listen to while they were smoking space weed, or however people will get lit in space as smoking will probably be impossible inside a pressurized ship where oxygen is an important commodity. Do Space Pirates vape? This track is the overture to a 5 part movement.
