The collaboration with Modular Project has finally led to the release of ‘Leaving’, their debut single on Rebirth.
Born and raised between Como and Milan, and joined by a strong love for music and vintage synths, Alberto Iovine and Alessandro Fumagalli started to work in the studio together in 2015, releasing music on labels like Off and Moodmusic before joining Rebirth and launching their own imprint Nothing Is Real.  Their rework of the Blond:ish classic 'Wizard Of Love’ was one of the most requested tracks on Rebirth last year, has been re-released by Time Records now.

‘Leaving’ is an instantly arresting, anthemic slice of electronic pop, fusing powerful drums, driving synth pads, and celestial vocals for emotional impact.
And we are very happy to have in the release two of the most important producers In the electronic music scene: Martin Gretschmann aka Acid Pauli does a superb job, translating the atmospheres of the original onto a dubbier version for the floor, giving us moments of high intensity through a deep journey melancholia and synth laden ambience. One of the most renowned and versatile Danish producers, Kasper Bjørke, reworks the song with a unique blend of sunny, spaced out psychedelic synths and insistent live drums that simply shimmers.

Autarkic makes-up part of an unspoken alliance from Tel-Aviv, which is currently altering the state of contemporary house and techno music. Heavy Dreamer, the artist’s first, four-track outing on Life and Death, showcases much of what this bold movement is about, all while pushing it forward into progress.  

Ever-present tones of kraut and punk rock flow throughout the EP, beginning with Some Things To Keep, a pumping, warehouse floor-filler. Autarkic steps up to the mic, often re-amping and distorting his vocal delivery, placing it alongside finely-programmed keyboard riffs, tough drums and further psychedelia. Realistic Guru, the trippiest of the lot, is tailor-made for an early-morning DJ Tennis after-party excursion. Slowing down the pace on Powerhouse, Autarkic hints at moments of Bauhaus’ and Tones on Tail’s doom-and-dance pop, while offering-up a digital-only, stripped-down, bonus version. The title track stands as a testament to this new wave of artists, coming from the shores of Israel’s Mediterranean coastline. Bass, drums and guitar are recorded through bespoke boxes and presented through the lens of modernist club-culture.

AUF TOGO is the combination of Sasa Crnobrnja (In Flagranti / Mytron & Ofofo) and Clement Cachot-Coulom (The Fabulous Penetrators / Big Girls). Their combined sound is one of vintage recording equipment and instruments, coupled with the tweaks and blends from the modern studio.Please write down in your diary the EP will be available from the 13th of July.

The duo presents a loose, almost improvised sound that works effortlessly within the rigid confines of house music. Psychedelic reverberated guitars meet probing synth lines and a live- sounding rhythm section. Heavy kicks, singing cowbells, deep bass lines and lo-fi guitar licks blur the line between rigid, quantized sounds and the duo’s refreshing human touch. 

Draws on their knowledge of the past and the current club scene, the No Control EP easily glides through deep, warm analogue sounds and tougher studio techniques. Clement's guitar work is reminiscent of late 60’s Garage bands, complimented by Sasa's strong bass lines and driving beats, giving the perfect mix of home listening fuzz and a late-night dance floor.

Berlin-based duo Aananda debuts on Art Vibes with ‘Oxted Moods’, a dreamy house-infused EP. Iman Deeper and Hubrist joined forces to create Aananda, highly inspired by electronica & deep house. The duo also performs live through instrumental improvisations and electronic reshaping of their original material.

This release is made up of three originals and two remixes by Tunisian desert explorer KeyBe and Berlin shaman Sangeet. The three originals, ‘Sultano’, ‘Oxted Moods’ and ‘Of A Nightingale’ are crafted with catchy filtered grooves, distant piano chords, and traditional percussions, perfect blend for a chilled down afternoon party. Paying attention to details, Aananda carefully sets a floating and hypnotic atmosphere throughout this EP.

Sangeet’s interpretation is focused on a groovy blend of percussions, rhythms & vocal samples maintaining the original’s deep atmosphere. KeyBe’s vision of Sultano builds a haunting and mesmerizing feel through the choice of hypnotic string patterns and ethereal pads.

Malka Tuti and Die Orangen have concocted a double dish, a two part remix package, Saft 1 & Saft 2. A2 is Tapan’s remix of Metal Man. The poem-not-poem is taking shape as a low bpm banger when Tapan’s heavy signature kick meets those trippy vocals. This is Tapan’s first track to be made after finishing their debut Album last year on MT, and its an interesting evolution of their sound, slow dark and punchy, yet with these vocals and bassline, also a catchy post-pop track for the later hours.

Dropmire EP is the second release on Timothy Clerkin’s Ransom Note Sub-label, Insult To Injury. The label’s debut release by Anna Lann & Emmanuel Caurel set the scene for what we hope is perceived as eclecticism, but could also be described as a complete lack of focus.

UK based duo Dark Circles kindly provide our next musical endeavour, turning in two moody, analogue techno / acid-house bombs. Probably best known for his extraordinary online trolling, it turns out that Iain Bogg actually knows his way around a decent slice of techno... alongside longsuffering teammate Matthew Waites (who has a studio full of enviable, classic gear) the pair have created themselves a unique sound.

We feature a remix from a man in need of no introduction… but here is one; it’s Bawrut! Italian acid-house virtuoso & purveyor of dance floor destroyers, he takes False Flag up a good few notches into peak time banger territory. Just wait for that beatdown at the halfway mark… lovely.

Early support for the record has already been proffered by Erol Alkan, Andrew Weatherall & Jackmaster.

7. Younger than me released the highly acclaimed Warning Code EP last year. They also remixed Curses - Her Violence Beauty, so he returned the favor and remixed the title track. Curses added his touch to the Machine Psychedelia of the original. They are an italian duo out of Milano. The production is inspired by Italo Disco, Post-Disco ,

What makes everybody's darling duo Monkey Safari so special is surely their authenticity; with their striking debut album ‘Odyssey’​, this meant producing the same kind of tracks they were playing as they toured nightclubs and festivals around the world, rather than simply a listening album. 
The result was a dance floor artwork. And while they may be perfectionists, they’re certainly no purists, carefully handpicking remixers they see as most capable of continuing their vision for the album.

So I tried to bring the track into a more dirty direction with a long breakdown, but without leaving the original`s idea too much. I hope people enjoy the results.”
