Weird little experiment in nonfunctional harmony I was working on a few months ago before my computer died. It’s not mixed at all so it sounds kinda shit but I was actually just notified that the president recently inducted it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so🤷‍♂️

Verdant Spring (WIP)

This is a piece I was working on about half a year ago for a project a friend of mine had in the pipeline. He wanted a large orchestra piece to use in the trailer for the project and after a metric fuckload of trial and error this is what came out. To this day this is probably my favorite thing I’ve ever worked on.

Whole Wide World

This is another one I worked on to accompany a project a friend of mine was working on last year. This was intended to be a sleepy, welcoming piece that played in the introductory area of the game and I felt really proud of how it came out. Writing music to suit a visual accompaniment is completely different and challenging, but watching the game footage with this piece playing over it was more of a reward than I could have ever asked for and will likely always serve as one of my warmest memories.

Rooster

Yet another one I worked on for my friends game project last year. I’ll always remember this one cuz it was sooooo hard for me to match what he was imagining. I must have sent 20 drafts of this before it even remotely resembled the piece it turned out to be. The exhilaration when i finally figured out how to do it was such an awesome feeling that I’ll never forget. I was listening to a lot of nonfunctional/atonal stuff at the time, and the aimless, destitute nature of this song was the product of those influences. Overall I’m proudest of myself for this one.
