September is national recovery month. A lot of my time today is spent teaching and practicing yoga.I believe it’s a great avenue for harm reduction. But it’s also important for me to share that I have to rock for recovery. Nobody showed up to my noon time yoga class on Friday. Instead of grabbing a bottle and going to oblivion which I haven’t done in over six years, I found an old song that I had written  years ago when I was working with a great teacher, Roxie. Then I spent the afternoon with GarageBand.  I heart my voice and my life today, so much more than letting my frustrations lead me to that first drink.  Thank you to all the teachers that have come along the way. Thank you for listening to my track .
